A Mother's Voice: Give Me Back My Son!

There is a certain elderly grandmother, about 70 years old, who is honest, kind and righteous. She has helped many people with her compassionate heart. In her own life and in raising her children, she always held fast to the high moral standards encompassed in our traditional Chinese values. She used to tell her children, "If you want to play fair, try to do it in others' shoes," which means that when you deal with people, look at things from their perspective and always be considerate of them.

Her children are all grown-up now. Although their personalities are all different, every one of them is righteous and kind-hearted. After Teacher started spreading Falun Dafa, her two sons obtained the Fa. After Jiang's persecution of Falun Gong began, despite being under tremendous pressure, her children still did not give up their right to be truthful; they still lived their lives according to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance. But in China, if you are wise and able to directly appeal to the government, you have to pay a huge price. The grandmother's eldest son's home was ransacked; he was thrown into a labor camp, and is still detained simply because he once distributed materials clarifying the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong.

The elderly grandmother had already been thinking for quite a while about this matter: Ever since her son had started practicing Falun Gong, had he really been becoming a better person or was he like what the TV had said? She felt that the TV and newspapers were lying. Her sons not only did not cause any trouble, but on the contrary, had become even more considerate of their mother. Within the extended family, they were more modest and the relationships between them and their siblings were more harmonious. The elderly grandmother then went to the police station and said, " My son is a good person. He is a model worker in his work unit, a good son and father at home. Why did you arrest him? What laws he has broken? How can you do this? You give me back my sons." The police agents answered rascally, "There's nothing we can do. It was the order from above." The grandmother had to swallow her tears.

She wrote a poem to express a piece of her mind and to protest the villainous troublemaking of Jiang and his ilk:

Good and evil are reversed,
Good persons that appeal are thrown into jail.
Propaganda machine is controlled by him,
Black becomes white as he talks.
Highly pressured down are the orders from him,
And, thousands of good persons are persecuted.
He does not govern to fight bad elements,
Common are robberies and killings.
He persecutes people just for his own personal gains,
And the police agents are forced to be so busy,
Corruption and depravity undermine the whole nation.
While he is happy and busy with his call girls,
Who is supposed to be his supervisor?
