In the 1970s, a practitioner fractured a bone in her right leg at work that required a steel nail and plate to repair the damage. This caused her lifelong deformity. For several decades, all treatments she had only made the injury worse. She remained at home in bed, almost paralyzed. In 1998, she was fortunate enough to begin to practice Falun Dafa. Every day she studied the Fa and practiced the exercises. Eventually, the steel nail and plate in her leg vanished. The others could not believe it and asked her to have an X-ray at the hospital. The X-ray proved that the steel nail and plate were really gone. Moreover, several other secondary diseases caused by treatments for the leg injury were also healed.

At the beginning of 2002, the police searched her house and found Dafa books and two truth-clarifying compact discs. The thugs forcibly took her to several places to illegally interrogate her, trying to extract evidence from her. Throughout the whole time she did not cooperate with the evil forces. In the detention center she did not do the inmates' exercises, did not recite the prison regulations, did not pay any living expenses, nor did she eat or drink. Additionally, whenever there were opportunities she would shout loudly, "Falun Dafa is good," "Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa." The police arranged four muscular men to force-feed her but still failed. They carried on endless interrogations throughout the days and nights. She did not yield one step. For eight days and nights she did not eat and drink. She vomited, had diarrhea and sometimes spit blood. Fearing to be responsible for her life the thugs released her. After she came out of the detention center some fellow practitioners asked her how it felt like living without food and water for eight days and nights. She answered, "I felt energetic and my whole body was full of strength. I never felt sleepy. I know that Master is looking after me all the time, therefore I was more confident and determined to defeat the evil." Her righteous thoughts, righteous belief and righteous actions in the detention center also influenced three other practitioners. They enlightened in the Fa and put aside the thought of life and death. After going on a hunger strike, refusing both food and water, they all successively walked out of the detention center.

One day when delivering truth-clarifying materials, another practitioner accidentally fell into a ditch and broke her leg. Other practitioners offered to carry her on their backs. She said, "I am all right." Firmly she climbed up from the ditch, and then persisted crawling. She also refused to let other practitioners help her distribute the materials. She crawled on her hands for over two hours and distributed more than one hundred copies of truth-clarifying materials. Several days later, her leg completely recovered. She once again joined the fast-moving Fa-rectifying process.

After July 20, 1999, the evil controlled all the state-run media to viciously slander our Master and Dafa. While studying the Fa with other practitioners, a practitioner enlightened that we should rectify the Fa with our cultivated side. She and other practitioners together sent forth righteous thoughts, "Eliminate all the evil forces that control the media persecuting Dafa. Do not let them deceive sentient being any more." Thus the evil propaganda disappeared in the area where the practitioner lives. She thought that if all Dafa practitioners in the world can do the same, it would be like what Master says, "with five minutes of sending forth righteous thoughts together, the evil in the Three Realms will never exist again" ("Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A.")

In the middle of March 2002, as a practitioner was getting ready to distribute truth clarifying materials with others, it started raining heavily. They were worried that the materials would get wet because of the rain. What should they do? By then, another practitioner remembered Master's words, "However strong the righteous thoughts are, that's how great the power is." ["Also in a Few Words" from Essentials for Further Advancement II] They immediately sat down with legs crossed and right hands erected. At the same time, they asked Master to strengthen them. In less than ten minutes, the rain stopped. They successfully distributed the truth clarifying materials to people with predestined relationships.

In early April 2002, Dafa practitioners went to some villages in the countryside to distribute Dafa truth clarifying materials. The village dogs barked loudly, which affected the material distribution. At that moment, one of the practitioners recalled Master's teaching, "one righteous mind can subdue one hundred evils." Immediately they sent forth righteous thoughts, and recalled with their pure minds, "We are Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples. We are here to save your owners. Animals, you also must follow heaven's will, rather than violating heaven's will. You are not allowed to bite, nor bark." After sending forth righteous thoughts for five minutes, all the dogs in two villages stopped barking. Practitioners successfully distributed all the truth clarifying materials. What happened was quite amazing.
