According to a recent research report published in the reputable journal Science, Earth's circumference (at the equator) was contracting in the 20 years before 1998. But it has been expanding since. Researchers say that such sudden change cannot be explained by changes on the earth's surface, such as the rising sea levels. The mobile material between Earth's crust and Earth's core is probably the cause of Earth's circumference increase.
A survey published in the Annual Review of Public Health showed that over 50,000 people in the U.S. died of wrong prescriptions (not including misdiagnoses and surgical malpractice) between 1993 and 1998. This represents an increase of 243% in the number of people who died of wrong prescriptions. This was only in the United States, where adherence to the law and professionalism were generally better. In developing countries where adherence to the law and professionalism were weaker, the situation was much worse.
