Police and Collaborators Savagely Torture Dafa Practitioners in the Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City, Jilin Province

Jan. 23, 2003 |   By a Dafa practitioner from Jilin Province

(Clearwisdom.net) In the propaganda shown on TV, the Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City, Jilin Province is shown to be a paradise for detained Dafa practitioners; but in fact, it's just the opposite, and the torture of Dafa practitioners is too cruel to put into words. I will describe my personal experiences at the forced labor camp.

Brigade Six is infamous for its brutality. When one Dafa practitioner went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution, the guards coerced a collaborator [former Falun Gong practitioner who has gone astray due to brainwashing and torture] to sit astride the practitioner while she was force-fed. The long-term physical and mental torture caused her to lose a lot of weight. She was over 1.7 meters tall but her weight fell to about 100 pounds. After she was let out of the camp for medical treatment, she passed away after being unable to recover. Lulu, a girl of only 16, wrote a letter renouncing Falun Gong after being tortured with electric batons by several police officers. However, she felt such immense pain in her heart for having written the letter under pressure that she didn't say a word for days. Several police with electric batons shocked female practitioner Fu Guijie simultaneously.

Policewoman Sun Minyan punched female practitioner Zhou Guirong until her face swelled up beyond recognition. Sun then hit and shocked Zhou with an electric baton. Female practitioners Sun Juping, Yi Baoli, Gu Fengqing, Zhu Xiyu were punched by police until the practitioners' faces were swollen. Policeman Zhang Tao punched female practitioner Wang Juanfang in the face and then struck her with an electric baton. The burns on Wang's neck were clearly visible.

Female practitioner Zhao Jinfang was punched and kicked. Officers Sun Minyan shocked Wang Lanying with an electric baton, and along with Zhu Dan she did the same to Xu Bing. Sun also punched female practitioner Zhang Shu until Zhang's face was swollen and fluid ran from the blistered flesh. Sixty-one year old Dong Lianxiang (female), together with several other determined female Dafa practitioners, were forced by collaborators to remain standing until 2 a.m. Dong fell to the ground in exhaustion at 12 minutes before 2 a.m. Collaborator Xiu Yuxiang forced her to get up and stand until 2 a.m. In the camp, as well as enduring the physical tortures, Dafa practitioners were also attacked by groups of collaborators to be "helped and reformed."

After being bombarded with a barrage of lies and twisted logic, many Dafa practitioners were almost on the verge of a mental collapse. It became normal for collaborators to beat and curse practitioners. Some collaborators were even crueler than the camp police. It's truly sad that these collaborators, who were once kind and righteous Falun Gong practitioners who believed in never fighting back when wronged or resorting to violence, had turned into cold-hearted henchmen that tortured, brainwashed, and "helped" the police to carry out the Jiang regime's persecution.

Zheng Baohua is a female Dafa practitioner from Yanji City that was abducted to the camp for a second time. She was detained by herself in a small cell for over 40 days, where the guards handcuffed her hands behind her back in a fixed position, in which she can neither move nor lie down. The cell is very damp and no sunshine comes in, and she had to relieve herself in the cell. Only half of a regular meal is served to detainees locked up in a small cell during the daytime. The stench in the small cell is so bad that it is difficult to breathe. Collaborators attacked her in groups all day and through the night until the early morning hours every day. But her belief in Dafa remained rock solid and unshakable. In a rage, collaborator Xiu Yuxiang slapped Zheng's face with the sole of a shoe. The sound from the slapping could be heard quite a distance away. Police officer Sun Minyan also shouted at her loudly. All this couldn't shake Zheng's determination and her firm belief in Dafa.

The collaborators also forced Dafa practitioners to put fingerprints on the "severance letters" or the "guarantee letters" by forcibly holding their fingers on the pages, hoping to break them down psychologically.

For those practitioners who are on a hunger strike to protest the inhuman treatment, the police would tie them to metal beds and force-feed them through a tube inserted into their nasal passage. After the force-feeding, the police would leave the tube inside the practitioners' bodies in order to increase their pain and force-feed them next time. While bound to the bed, practitioners are not allowed to get up to relieve themselves. If a practitioner is unable to urinate in this position, the police would insert a catheter. In this way, medical instruments are turned into torture devices. Many Dafa practitioners were bound to the metal beds. Female practitioner Zhou Guirong was once bound to the metal bed for nine consecutive days, which caused her to almost lose the ability to take care of her personal needs. After being tortured like that, the collaborators forced her to shovel snow and move heavy boxes as soon as she was released from the bed.

Determined Dafa practitioners stood nobly and firmly in the face of such relentless torture. They showed enormous compassion to everyone. When they looked into the eyes of those evil perpetrators, the police and collaborators dared not look the Dafa practitioners in the eye. When Dafa practitioners were righteous in mind, the evils had no way to change the practitioners' belief in Dafa.
