Tiebei Prison in Changchun City, Jilin Province, assigned several criminals to monitor each Falun Dafa practitioner.

Under the instigation of some malicious police officers, those criminals forced the practitioners to stand in oil drums [metal barrels used to hold crude oil]. The bottoms of the drums were taken off and replaced by four-inch-wide iron pipes that were placed in an "X" shape, and thus the practitioners could only stand on the pipes. Practitioner Sun Xi was forced to stand there for four days and four nights, and as a result his legs became very swollen. The heads of the prison issued a "transformation quota" for each squadron. They tried to force the practitioners to write the so-called "four letters" [documents to denounce Falun Dafa]. Practitioners were not allowed to sleep if they refused to write the letters. They tortured practitioner Pan Zhaorui for twelve days, during which some criminals even stuck needles into his thighs.

Some criminal prisoners beat up the practitioners at will. Practitioner Qu Hongxiang got bruises on his face, which also swelled up. Practitioners Cheng Lei and Wang Quanyuan firmly refused to write the "four letters." The prison has locked up Cheng Lei in a very small solitary cell for over two months, where he remains today. They only give him two meals of corn soup per day. However, Cheng Lei is still very determined to continue practicing Falun Dafa.

Here we are calling upon all the kind-hearted people to help the Falun Dafa practitioners.
