1. [A County in China] Falun Dafa Practitioners Across Entire County Send Righteous Thoughts; Seven Falun Dafa Practitioners Released
In the evening hours on November 9, 2003, the Political Judiciary Committee, Police Department, "610 Office," [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems,] State Security Brigade and various police stations launched an all-out campaign to arrest Falun Dafa practitioners across the county under the order of county officials. They shattered windows at practitioners' homes and broke in. A total of seven Falun Dafa practitioners were illegally taken to the detention center in a single night.
All local Falun Dafa practitioners were sending righteous thoughts on their behalf. One practitioner broke out of the detention center on the ninth day. On November 24, it was reported that the police department planned to carry out another round of arrests the following day. Learning this plan, all Falun Dafa practitioners across the county spent the day sending righteous thoughts intensely and frequently. Not only was this plot thwarted, but the remaining six practitioners were also rescued from the detention center.
2. [Liaoning Province] Dabei Prison Continues to Brutally Torture Falun Dafa Practitioners
Police at the Dabei Prison in Liaoning Province are continuing to cruelly torture Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioner Li Hongshu from Panjin City, Liaoning Province suffers from edema and has difficulty urinating. Li is very weak and in critical condition, but is still required to work very hard. Another Falun Dafa practitioner from Panjin City, Peng Geng, has been on a hunger strike for almost a year. He is now vomiting blood, and remains in critical condition. The police exclaimed, "We won't release anyone even if he or she dies on a hunger strike." Lives of some other Falun Dafa practitioners in the prison are also in danger.
3. [Beijing] Numerous Falun Dafa Practitioners Unlawfully and Secretly Sentenced to Jail
Recently numerous Falun Dafa practitioners who were producing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials were unlawfully sentenced to prison. Each time, a secret trial was held.
Ms. Li Li, and Ms. Liu Ying, were sentenced to nine years, and Ms. Liu Limin was sentenced to eight years.
Other Falun Dafa practitioners, whose names are unknown, have all been unlawfully detained for over one year.
Over a hundred Falun Dafa practitioners involved in producing Falun Gong materials have been unlawfully detained for extended periods of time, even for as long as over two years.

4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Shenyang Railroad Bureau Confines Falun Dafa Practitioners in the Luotaishanzhuang Brainwashing Center in Fushun City
In mid November 2003, officials of the Shenyang Railroad Bureau in Liaoning Province launched a coordinated campaign to secretly arrest all Falun Dafa practitioners within the bureau and its subsidiaries. The exact number of arrests is unknown. A brainwashing center has been set up within a hotel located in Luotaishanzhuang in Fushun City. It has been reported that at the time of this writing (December 5, 2003) several Falun Dafa practitioners' lives have become endangered. Falun Dafa practitioner Zhang Li, an employee of the Tonghua Railroad Hospital in Jilin Province, is in critical condition. Authorities at Luotaishangzhuang have notified the Tonghua Railroad Hospital of her status, but the hospital leaders have refused to take Zhang in for treatment.
5. [Heilongjiang Province] Heilongjiang Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Shao Ying Unlawfully Arrested by Police for the Second Time
Ms. Shao Ying, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province, is a survivor of the tragic deaths in the Wanjia Forced Labor Institute. She was released in August 2001, several months after her official release date. Ms. Shao was able to stay at home for only a few months. Fellow practitioners revealed the facts of the tragic deaths in the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp, and the forced labor camp conspired with the Mishan City Police Department to arrest Ms. Shao again. To avoid being arrested, she left home, staying away from her young son, husband, and elderly mother.
In spite of this, in March 2003, Ms. Shao was again arrested at a Falun Gong materials storage site in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province. The police are planning to sentence her to a harsh prison term. As a result of deceptive propaganda, many people in the company where Ms. Shao worked were brainwashed. Her husband also fell victim to the propaganda and even appeared on local TV, complaining that his wife did not take care of the family. The misfortune of the whole family was entirely the doing of Jiang's regime.
6. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Ms. Kong Shuzhen and Yu Fengyun Confined to the Brainwashing Center in the Provincial Capital
Ms. Kong Shuzhen is from Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. On November 14, 2003, officers from Huaidi Police Station, led by Li Jun, deputy chief of the Yuhua Branch Police Department, forced her into the brainwashing center in the provincial capital on orders from the Shijiazhuang City Police Department. At the same time, Ms. Kong's home was ransacked. Further details about Ms. Kong's fate are unavailable.

Falun Dafa practitioner Yu Fengyun is from Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. On November 11, 2003, officers from the Yuandong Police Station brought Yu to the brainwashing center in the provincial capital. It has been reported that Yu went on a hunger strike on the first day her confinement. The police have denied Yu's family any visits.
7. [Beijing] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Liu Lan Arrested by the Beijing "610 Office"
Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Lan, 30, graduated from the Beijing Aerospace Industry University. She is originally from Shiyan, Hubei Province and now lives in Beijing. On October 28, 2002, members of the "610 Office" broke in through the door and arrested her and another female practitioner, with whom she had been producing truth-clarifying materials. She was later unlawfully held at the Fengtai District Detention Center in Beijing. Since May 2003, no one has had any information about her despite constant inquiries. Authorities at the Fengtai Detention Center have denied that Ms. Liu is held there.
Ms. Liu Lan was arrested seven or eight times for validating Falun Dafa. She had thwarted any possible forced labor or jail terms by holding hunger strikes, abstaining from food and water. With the support of Master Li as well as her own righteous thoughts and acts, she has time and again walked out of very bad situations maintaining her dignity and calm. It has been half a year since anyone last heard anything from her.

In the afternoon hours on December 5, 2003, a group of people from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province broke into a rented house. They arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Yu Junior. One practitioner's husband, who is not a practitioner, was also unlawfully arrested. They also sought to arrest another Falun Dafa practitioner who was not found.

Not long ago, members of the Benxi City "610 Office" in Liaoning Province forcibly brought a Falun Dafa practitioner from the No. 1 Railroad Affairs Section to a brainwashing center. At the same time, the "610 Office" collected a fine of 3,000 Yuan [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China] from the No. 1 Railroad Affairs Section without following any legal procedure. People who became aware of this incident were all angry at the "610 Office."
