(Clearwisdom.net) On January 24 and February 24, 2003, Qiqihar City's TV Station's 8'o clock "Qiqihar News" and Heilongjiang Province TV Station's evening program, "Today's Topic" each showed the same fabricated newsreel segment -- "Li Huaguang Killed His Mother." The story alleged Li Huaguang to be a Falun Gong practitioner. My husband knows Li very well. Following is how he knows the real situation:
Li Huaguang comes from a family that has a history of mental illness. He himself is also mentally ill. In 1995 he bought a copy of Zhuan Falun, hoping that it would help him get well. Because in the book the founder of Falun Gong stated very clearly that people with mental illnesses are not permitted to practice, the practitioners at the practice site asked him not to practice, so he stopped. In 1998, while experiencing a psychotic attack and to catch a moving train, Li chased after it. He lost both his legs under the wheels when his attempt to get on the train failed. According to Li's mother, Li's father and grandfather both had a mental disorder and had died from the illness.
At the beginning of the persecution of Falun Dafa in 1999, the Qiqihar TV Station approached Li's family, attempting to use this case to frame and vilify Falun Dafa's reputation. Li's mother turned them down and told the reporters that her son's physical handicap of having lost both legs was a result of his mental disorder, not because of Falun Gong. What could have motivated the Qiqihar TV Station now, in the year 2003, to put on this ludicrous show, "Li Huaguang Killed His Mother"? We must point out that Li Huaguang never tried to hurt other people during his psychotic episodes. It is ridiculous to accuse someone whose lower body is completely non-functional, who has to use both of his hands to move around in a wheelchair, of knifing his healthy mother to death. She could have easily escaped if he had come after her. The wheelchair-bound Li allegedly inflicted 30 knife wounds on his mother.
The Qiqihar TV Station is truly talented for fabricating this farce.
The founder of Falun Gong had said in Explaining the Content of Falun Dafa , then openly published in Mainland China, that, "people with psychosis have too much thought-karma and their Main Primodial Spirit is unconscious, so they can't cultivate." Furthermore, Falun Dafa's principles strictly forbid killing or committing suicide.
Let the people see for themselves and distinguish what is true and what is false.
