1. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Dafa Practitioner Song Ping Is Illegally
Sentenced to Five Years of Imprisonment
Song Ping, female, about 40 years old, is from the Futian District. To validate Dafa, she went to Tiananmen Square and displayed banners many times in late 1999. Later, she was illegally sentenced to one and a half years in jail. She was released on April 25, 2001. Since then, she has actively taken part in the Fa-rectification process. In June 2001, she was arrested in Nanjing while delivering Dafa truth-clarifying materials, was illegally sentenced to 5 years in jail, and detained at the Women's Jail of Nantong City, Jiangsu Province. 2. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Recently Dafa Practitioners Have Been Arrested and Their Homes Searched
In April 2003, eight Dafa practitioners living in the Chemical Prospecting Company apartments on Yingbin Street, Yunhe District, Cangzhou City were arrested and their homes were searched. Some of their appliances including color TV sets were confiscated by police. Later, more than ten other Dafa practitioners were implicated. It is reported that at least 20 Dafa practitioners were arrested. This event happened after some Dafa practitioners, who had just started delivering Dafa truth-clarifying materials, were reported. The newly appointed head of the Cangzhou City Public Security Bureau is following orders from Jiang's regime to persecute Falun Gong.
3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Dafa Practitioner Hong Weishen Is Detained and Mistreated In the Qinduankou Jail, Hanyang
Hong Weishen is being illegally detained at the Qinduankou Jail, Hanyang District, and is in a dire situation. Since Hong is firm in his belief in Dafa, he has been tortured by jail guards in various ways. His head was badly injured from beatings, and he has not been given anything to eat. When he suffered from appendicitis, they did not give him any immediate medical attention. He was sent to the hospital only after the infection had spread, putting him in critical condition. Even so, his family was not informed or allowed to visit him. The torture caused 40-year-old Hong's hair to turn gray, and he drastically lost weight. Each day he has to do hard labor. Chen Chuanhong, the new leader of the third group, is cruelly torturing Dafa practitioners.
4. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Dafa Practitioner Zhu Jinxiu and Spouse Are Arrested and Their Personal Property Is Confiscated
On September 30, 2002, Dafa truth-clarifying materials were found at Zhu Junxiu's home. The practitioners were taken away by the personnel from the Chengdu City Public Security Bureau "610 Office, the Jinniu Branch, and the Xiaojiacun Police Station. Their cars and a large amount of cash were taken by the police. Since some of the cash from their business was in US dollars, the Public Security Bureau assumed the couple was connected with Falun Gong practitioners outside of China. The Chengdu City "610 Office" listed them as the biggest target in Chengdu City and intended to sentence them heavily. They are still illegally being detained at the Pixian County Detention Center.

On April 1, 2003, Ms. Chen Yanhua was reported and arrested by police while she was delivering truth-clarifying materials. We believe she is being detained at the 2nd Detention Center of Wuhan City.
6. [Beijing] The Beijing "610 Office" Is Still Persecuting Dafa Practitioners
The Beijing "610 Office" has started a new round of arresting Dafa practitioners. On April 30, 2003, Dafa practitioner Pan Ke, from the Xuanwu District, was illegally arrested by the "610 Office" and his whereabouts are not known.
7. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Dafa Practitioners Li Baozhu, Zuo Guoqing, Bai Xuchang and Others Are Arrested
On May 8, 2003, Li Baozhu, Zuo Guoqing, and Bai Xuchang were arrested by police. In the evening of May 9, Dafa practitioner Li Yi was arrested by officers from the Yiyuan Police Station, and his situation is unknown. The whereabouts of four other Dafa practitioners are also not known.
8. [Yunfu City, Guangdong Province] Dafa Practitioner Lai Zhenxian Is Illegally Sentenced to Three Years In a Forced Labor Camp
In order to collect Ms. Lai Zhenxian's information, a special squad of detectives from the Guangdong Province Public Security Department was dispatched to Yunfu City. In March, Lai was illegally arrested in Dongguan City. In April, she was sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp.
9. [Linqu County, Shandong Province] Female Dafa Practitioners Yin Shulan, Liu Aiqin, and Yin Zhenxiu Were Illegally Arrested by the Linqu "610 Office"
In February 2003, Yin Shulan, Liu Aiqin, and Yin Zhenxiu were illegally arrested by the Linqu "610 Office." After a period of detention, they were sent to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp for an unknown term. Yin Zhenxiu was released only when her health deteriorated severely and the doctor said that she could not be saved.
In March 2003, the Linqu "610 Office" illegally arrested at least 18 Dafa practitioners. Eight were from Xinzhai township, and the rest were from Yeyuan township.
The officers were involved in the persecution of Dafa practitioners at the Wolong Township, Linqu County:
Song Peichen, male, a clerk of civil affairs.
Zhang Xinjian, male, an officer of the Township government.
10. [Beijing City] Please Make Phone Calls to Save Illegally Detained Dafa Practitioners in Beijing
On May 6, 2003, You Hong, the elder sister of You Xin, a Dafa practitioner in Singapore, was arrested while she was delivering Dafa truth-clarifying VCDs. Her home was searched by four police officers from the Nandajie, Zhongguancun District. One of the four is Jiang Bo, his mobile phone number is: 86-130-11833430. You Hong is currently detained at the Pre-interrogation Department of the Haidian Detention Center. Police have told her that if she does not show regret for what she has done, she can be sentenced to 2 - 10 years in prison.

11. [Donggang City, Liaoning Province] Facts of the Persecution of Dafa Practitioners
Late in the evening of July 13, 2002, police officer Tian Lianchang from the Majiadian Township Police Station, in collusion with police officer Wang Yuanjun from the Donggang City, broke into the home of Dafa practitioners Sun Jiajun, Gao Shuping (female), Liu Meihua (female), and Qi Shuhua (female), and took them to the Detention Center. However, Qi Shuhua managed to escape. The other three were held for about four months.
In January 2002, police officer Wang Chunyu (now deceased), along with officers Wang Runlong and Wang Yuanjun, broke into female Dafa practitioner Ning Shuyan's home to illegally arrest her. Another Dafa practitioner Ms. Qi Shuhua was also arrested. Each practitioner paid about 10,000 Yuan* in extortion fees to the police. Ning Shuyan was illegally sentenced to two years in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. However, when a physical check-up showed that she was seriously ill, she was sent back home. Later Ning Shuyan was forced to leave home to avoid further persecution.
*Yuan is the Chinese currency. The average monthly salary of an urban worker in China is 500 Yuan.
