The Truth and People's Hearts
A few days ago, my cousin suddenly came to my home after being in a remote mountain area. I clarified the truth and spread the Fa to her. Now she likes to cultivate, and reads the book every day. The more she reads, the better she thinks this book is. Upon leaving, she took with her several Dafa books and truth-clarifying CDs and materials. She told me, "I have finally invited a true god home, and I will definitely ask all the villagers to watch these in my house."
Facts of the Persecution
There are still ten Falun Dafa practitioners unjustly detained in the Yuzhou City Detention Center in He-nan Province. Among them, Wang Shicai, Zhang Shaofeng, Zhao Jianying, Yan Er-xuan, Xiao Dianqing, Zhang Junxia, and Jiang Xueping were arrested together on September 15, 2002 while passing out truth-clarifying flyers. Falun Dafa practitioners Zhang Qi, Li Baoyun, and Wei Guoduo were arrested in their homes. Police used inhuman torture methods on them. The Yuzhou City Court House announced that it will sentence these ten Falun Dafa practitioners.
Since November 25, 2002, the police in the second team of the Suihua Labor Camp in Heilongjiang Province conducted fifteen days of forced brainwashing and torture of Falun Dafa practitioners. Practitioners endured beatings, electric baton shocks, "hang-ups" [a type of torture], being locked in a small cell, and sitting on the "tiger bench."* Police also brainwashed practitioners by forcing them to watch TV programs that slander Falun Dafa.
The lawless officials in Tangshan City, Hebei Province persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. The police in the No.2 Detention Center used criminal means to cruelly torture Dafa disciples, such as a cold shower in winter, "small-elbow," "riding an airplane" [In this torture, the head is bent down until it cannot go down any further, while the hands are pulled up and held up to the highest point. The hips have to point up. One is forced to keep this position unchanged for a long time. The body in this position looks like the shape of an airplane], squeezing practitioners ribs, Da-ma-lei-zi [a kind of torture], being slapped with the sole of a shoe, beaten without clothes on, no food, forced standing for long periods of time, brainwashing with lies...
Two session of brainwashing classes have been held in Rang District Hongweixing in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province. The evil persecutes Falun Dafa practitioners severely there. At the beginning of the second brainwashing class, two practitioners were arrested and taken to the detention center because of resisting the evil. Because of long-term detention, Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Hanxue had the symptoms of protrusion of the lumbar intervertebral discs. But police still detained him in the Rang District Detention Center, and unjustly sentenced him to one year at the Daqing City Labor Camp on April 21, 2003. The evil is starting its third brainwashing session now, and arresting Falun Dafa practitioners.
Falun Dafa practitioner Yang Jiangwei in Suizhong County, Huludao City, Liaoning Province has been persecuted many times in the past four years because he keeps cultivating Falun Dafa. He has been unjustly detained many times, had his home illegally searched, had money extorted from him, and has twice been unjustly sent to the Huludao City Labor Camp. He has been tortured with forced-feeding, brutal torture methods, electric baton shocks, been locked in a small, isolation cell, "strictly controlled," etc. He is still being persecuted in the Huludao City Labor Camp right now.
*Tiger Bench - Practitioners are forced to sit on a small iron bench that is approximately 20 cm (6 inches) tall with their knees tied together. With their hands tied behind their backs or sometimes placed on their knees, they are forced to sit straight up and look straight ahead. They are not allowed to turn their heads, close their eyes, talk to anyone or move at all. Several inmates are assigned to watch over the practitioners and force them to remain motionless while sitting on the bench. Usually some hard objects are inserted underneath the practitioners' lower legs or ankles to make it harder for them to tolerate this abuse.
