(Clearwisdom.net) I have been calling people in Mainland China, on and off, for more than 2 years. In this process, I also went from not daring to call to having the courage to call, and from being impatient to being calm and serene. I've done it along with studying the Fa and sending forth righteous thoughts every step of the way.

I remember that when I first started to make phone calls, my heart was pounding quickly, and I would run out of things to say after only a couple of sentences. But I thought to myself: "We are Dafa disciples, and our words have power. What am I afraid of?" So I encouraged myself and picked up the phone to call some elderly ladies who work at neighborhood committee offices whom I thought would be easier to talk to. But it didn't turn out as easy as I thought. This had to do with my own cultivation state--the more you're afraid of it, the more evil it gets, because the evil things were controlling them in other dimensions. As soon as I got connected, before I could say a couple of sentences, the lady started to slander Dafa and Master. I got very angry, and said, "Your saying this is not good for you." Then I hung up the phone. Although I felt that she was really pitiful, I just didn't have the confidence to call her again, and thought that people like her were hopeless. But then I thought: "Wait a minute, this isn't right. Our magnificent Master treasures every single being, and has painstakingly used everything of his in order to save all beings. We absolutely can't be undeserving of Master's grand mercy."

Master said in "Teaching the Fa at the Great Lakes Fa Conference in North America,"

"...when this Fa-rectification matter is over, humankind will enter the next stage, and those people and beings who in their minds think that the Great Fa of the cosmos isn't good will be the first weeded out. It's because no matter how bad some beings in the cosmos are, they are even worse, for what they're against is the Fa of the cosmos."

When I thought of Master's words, I immediately developed compassion for them. If they don't know the truth, it's very hard to change their bad thoughts toward Dafa, and what awaits them will be destruction. As I was thinking about these things, I got connected with another neighborhood committee. I spoke warmly: "Hello. I'm calling from the U.S. May I have a few minutes of your time to tell you something extremely important?" The other person said "Yes." So I said to her: "The Chinese government has suppressed Falun Gong for over a year now, but what I see from abroad is quite different from the media's propaganda in Mainland China. The propaganda and media reports you hear and see are not true, and are all made-up slander." That person asked whether I practiced Falun Gong. I told her "Yes," that all 3 of us in my family practice it, and that all of us have benefited mentally and physically. I said, "The 1,400 cases you've heard about are all made up. Actually, since the time when I was young, all of China's political movements have been wrong." She said, "Falun Gong is different from those movements." So I said, "Falun Gong has been wronged." She didn't respond, and I continued to say: "You've heard about the famous story of the lady Dou Er being wronged, right?" She didn't say anything, so I continued to talk for quite a while until she hung up. Even though she hung up the phone, I was still happy, because, after all, she had heard so much from me.

Things are just hard at the beginning. After I made some more phone calls, I was no longer afraid. I should have confidence. Since then, I've made it a priority to call [China] to clarify the facts. As long as I have time, I make phone calls. If I can tell them a few sentences of the facts, that is better; but even when I can't say much, I don't get discouraged. Sometimes I played for them a 3-minute truth-clarifying radio broadcast, and some people would listen to the end, after that I would check with them, and the results were pretty good. Just like Master said in Touring North America to Teach the Fa: "The truth is, in your validating the Fa today, in the process of Dafa disciples' clarifying the truth, the forms you have adopted, the different methods you've used, and all the different things you've done have all been handled very well. Don't underestimate your sending even one flyer or one booklet to China, making one phone call there, or sending one fax there or sending all sorts of information--the effect is quite significant, and its effect in frightening and eliminating the evil is huge, truly huge."

I remember that a year ago I called a labor camp. I dialed the phone numbers of several policemen, and before I was connected I sent righteous thoughts. At the time they acted very wickedly, and started cursing and yelling right away. Some of them hysterically said: "Do you know where this is? I'll kill you."

If I were to argue with them, it wouldn't achieve any good results. So I calmly said: "I'm just telling you the facts. I'm calling you because I know you are a policeman, and because you are a victim and are being used by someone else. After the Falun Gong situation is reversed, you will be among the first ones who will be punished. Good and evil bring corresponding consequences--this is heaven's principle." We should remember to send righteous thoughts when we talk to them, and by doing this some people will calm down. Then I called their main office. The person in charge asked for my name and my work place. So I said that my job was to investigate local cases. I said, "It's been reported that there have been beatings in your labor camp." He immediately replied that there was no such thing, so I mentioned the names of those wicked policemen, and the names of the practitioners being persecuted. He became afraid, and immediately said: "Those happened in the past. Now our labor camp is educating the policemen about not beating people." I felt that he had some good thoughts, so I encouraged them: "Sounds like you're a kind person. You will be rewarded in the future for being kind to Falun Gong. It's good for your family, too. He was happy to hear that, and by then he could tell that I practiced Falun Gong. He closed the door and told me that he read Zhuan Falun before, and he had received truth-clarifying materials, because it is his job to handle these materials. I told him that he should give the truth-clarifying materials to the head of the labor camp and tell him what he should do and what he shouldn't do. I said, "You will earn a great deal of merit by doing this." He thanked me.

Recently, after I heard that the Shanghai TV Station would broadcast a TV series that slandered Falun Gong, I called the main editor of the TV series channel at the Shanghai TV Station, as well as a director at the Shanghai Film Production and other persons in charge. I told them that Falun Gong is not an ordinary qigong--it's a Great Law with high virtue. I also told them about the spreading of Falun Gong all over the world and about the awards that have been given to our Master and Dafa, and that only China is suppressing Falun Gong. In addition, it's only Jiang Zemin's gang, a small group that were plotting and acting. They made up the Tiananmen self-immolation incident and the bloody incident in Beijing to persecute people with slanders and deception. "Do you know that broadcasting this TV series and slandering Falun Gong are violating Heaven's principles and committing huge sins? Jiang Zemin can't escape the trial by history, and at that time, whether they did it intentionally or not, no one who was involved in broadcasting this series will be able to escape--whoever owes the debt has to pay for it. By then it will be too late for you to regret it. You have to be responsible to yourself! I hope you try your best to uphold justice for Falun Gong and resist anti-Falun Gong behavior. At the very least, you should know how to handle it when your superior tell you to do bad things... This will be good for you. After I talked for about 15 minutes, I asked: "Hello, are you there? Do you know what I said?" Most of the time, the other person would politely say: "I heard you. I understand what you mean." At this time, I would thank them and wish them a good future. I talked like this for 3-4 evenings, and the results were fairly good.

One time, I saw that my classmate's name was on the list of the people who have viciously persecuted Dafa practitioners, and she was helping in the "610 office." I called her more than a dozen times, and wrote her a letter. She was very wicked initially, and wouldn't listen to any advice. She believed that she was following her superiors' orders and what the Party said, and that's not wrong. So I examined, step by step, the lessons from the Cultural Revolution with her. Later on I called her home. Her husband and daughter both had a bad attitude, and told me that I was harassing them. At first I was a bit angry, and thought about giving up. But then I thought to myself: "Isn't this also testing me? If I take a detour when I encounter problems, and not raise my xinxing, then I'm not improving." So the worse she treated me, the more pitiful I felt about her, and the more I thought I had to save her. Master said in "Dafa Disciples' Righteous Thoughts are Powerful": "Since we cultivate in a righteous Fa, we should care for and save beings and the people of the world who are good. So we should act with goodness in everything we do. Yet removing the evil beings that manipulate people into damaging humankind is also protecting humankind and sentient beings." I followed Master's words, and sent righteous thoughts each time before I called her to eradicate the evil factors that were manipulating her. Her attitude gradually changed. In the end she told me that she left the "610 office." At that moment, I thought of what Master said in Touring North America to Teach the Fa: "It's because of the evil's slanderous propaganda that people have had thoughts in their minds, When people become clearheaded, that's when those evil things are eliminated and disintegrate."

As the Fa-rectification progresses rapidly, most of the evil factors have been eliminated. We can feel the difference when we make phone calls. Most of the people are willing to listen to us. Especially now, when we mentioned to them that Jiang is being sued in a US Court and that the "International Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong" has been established, they are very scared. Although I haven't done as well as some other practitioners in clarifying the facts, I'm not discouraged. I have to persist in making these calls, all the way until the Fa-rectification of the human world arrives.
