[Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Dafa Practitioner Wang Mingkui Detained for More Than 20 Days in Solitary Confinement

Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Mingkui, 46, was illegally arrested at home in 2002, was sentenced to four years in prison, and was subsequently detained in the Red Satellite Prison in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province. The phone number for the main officer on duty is 86-459-5059911. Wang Mingkui and another practitioner, whose name is unknown, clarified the truth to the Head Prison Warden Liu. Liu became furious, and brutally beat the two practitioners many times, accusing them of ganging up on the head prison warden. Wang Mingkui's body was bruised everywhere and he is in poor condition. By June 12, 2003, Wang Mingkui had already been detained in solitary confinement in the Red Satellite Prison for more than 20 days.

[Meihekou City, Jilin Province] Police Unlawfully Arrest Three Dafa Practitioners

On June 13, 2003, three Dafa practitioners in Meihekou City were followed by local and non-local police officers when they were in a residential building in Tiebei, Meihekou City, and were arrested. The practitioners are Shi and Guo (both male), and a female practitioner whose name is unknown. Practitioner Shi and the female practitioner jumped from the third story of the building in order to escape persecution. Shi broke his legs and the female practitioner was seriously injured. She is being given medical treatment.

[Xianning City, Hubei Province] Dafa Practitioner Zhou Keli's Whole Family Suffers Persecution

The Xianning City "610 Office"* and the Wenquan Development District Police Department authorities brutally persecuted Dafa practitioner Zhou Keli and his family. Zhou Keli and his younger daughter were illegally sentenced to forced labor because they went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. Afterwards, they were forced to leave home to avoid being persecuted, and their current whereabouts is unknown. Zhou Keli's son Chen Weiqun was forced to leave home to avoid persecution in early 2002, and in September 2002 police from the No. 1 Division of the Wuhan City Police Department arrested him. Currently, he is detained at the Hewan Labor Camp. In July 2001, his daughter-in-law was arrested in Tiananmen Square for doing Dafa exercises. She is currently detained at the Shayang Labor Camp. Their 10-year-old child is left at home unattended. In late May 2003, Zhou Keli's elder daughter Chen Liqun was reported when clarifying the truth. It is unknown where she is being detained. Dafa practitioner Zhou Keli's family was torn apart just because they believe in Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance.

Du Zhiqiang

[Xianning City, Hubei Province] Cases of Persecution Against Dafa Practitioners

Female Dafa practitioner Huang Qiuzhen was laid off from her position at the Xianning Cigarette Factory because she practices Falun Dafa. In early May, she clarified the truth to her superiors and family. Following that, she was reported and sent to the Wenquan Development District Drug Rehab Center. In order to resist the evil, she held a hunger strike for four days and walked out of the rehab center using righteous thoughts.

On the evening of April 8, female practitioner Yang Dongxiang's home was ransacked by Song Ruisheng and Du Zhiqiang from the district "610 Office." Police officer Chen Lebin also participated in this illegal activity. She was detained at the No. 1 Detention Center in the Xianan District. In order to resist the evil persecution she held a hunger strike and later walked out using righteous thoughts. She was then forced to leave home to avoid illegal arrest.

On May 22, female practitioner Chen Liqun was reported while clarifying the truth, and was illegally detained at the No. 1 Detention Center in the Xianan District. In order to resist the evil persecution, she held a hunger strike, which is still ongoing. On June 14, "610 Office" personnel from the Wenquan Development District ordered police officers Jin Guoxing, Liu Jinlong, and Bi to send practitioners Chen Liqun and Huang Qiuzhen to the Shayang Labor Camp in Hubei Province.

Du Zhiqiang

[Shiyan City, Hubei Province] Names of Five Dafa Practitioners Who Were Recently Given Unlawful Prison Sentences

Ms. Yan Xiuhong, 50, was sentenced to eight years in prison. She is currently detained at the No. 1 Detention Center in Shiyan City, Hubei Province;

Mr. Wang Jianbin, 28, was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison. He is currently detained at the No. 1 Detention Center in Shiyan City, Hubei Province;

Mr. Wang Hui, 26, was sentenced to seven years in prison. He is currently detained at the No. 1 Detention Center in Shiyan City, Hubei Province;

Ms. Wei Chen, 23, was sentenced to two years in prison. She is currently detained at the No. 1 Detention Center in Shiyan City, Hubei Province;

Ms. Ruan Miaomiao, 23, was sentenced to two years in prison. She is currently detained at the No. 1 Detention Center in Shiyan City, Hubei Province.

[Yanji City, Jilin Province] Dafa Practitioner Wen Shuqin Dies After Suffering

Persecution

Dafa practitioner Ms. Wen Shuqin was born on March 3, 1951, and lived in Wangqing County, Jilin Province. In January of 2001, police from the Yanbianzhou Political and Security Division unlawfully arrested her while she distributed truth clarification materials. She was detained at the Yanji City Detention Center. One month later she was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor and was sent to the Heizuizi Female Labor Camp in Changchun City. Her sentence was announced on her birthday. In the labor camp she was brutally tortured, both physically and mentally. One month after being sent to the labor camp she was diagnosed with late-stage breast cancer, although she was healthy before her arrest. She was released on parole for medical treatment and passed away on September 3, 2001.

* The "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.
