Facts of the Persecution

On May 29, 2003, Falun Dafa practitioner Yu Zuhong from Wuhan City was abducted to the Ertouwan Brainwashing Center. He was handcuffed behind his back and then hung up by the cuffs. His arms became covered in mosquito bites. On June 8, unable to tolerate the constant abuse, Yu Zuhong jumped over a wall and broke some bones in his right leg. However, the police lied to his family and said that he was doing very well at the brainwashing center. As soon as his family learned about what happened to Yu, they were very angry and appealed to all levels of the government for his release. The police were afraid that their actions would be exposed and secretly notified the Neighborhood Committee to monitor Yu's wife. All his family members are being stalked and monitored.

Righteous Thoughts and Righteous Actions

Protected by a Kind-hearted Villager and Narrowly Escaping a Dangerous Situation: In December 2002, several of us took hundreds of copies of truth-clarifying materials to a rural area about 50 kilometers away. As things went quite smoothly, we slacked off and did not send forth righteous thoughts as much as we should have. In a village of about 200 families, some villagers restrained us while holding metal shovels and rocks in their hands.

Some of us were beaten by a few young guards in the village, which caused bleeding from our noses and mouths. The Party Secretary of the village tried to phone the police to report us, but he could not get through. At the same time, others of us continued to send forth righteous thoughts. I talked to the villagers and told them the truth about the persecution and they were all shocked. "You guys are just unlucky. We had some bandits who robbed us yesterday." When the villagers left for home, they said, "What did we do? We caught some good people." The Party Secretary did not know what to do. Later, it was decided that the guards should call the Township police. A few old people came in to talk to the guards about the principle of retribution, and asked them to release those being detained. We continued to send forth righteous thoughts, negating the old forces' arrangements. At this time, two practitioners managed to escape, but another practitioner was pushed to the ground when he tried to leave. A policeman hit me repeatedly with his fists. The yelling and swearing woke up many of the villagers. An old man yelled at those who were beating us and demanded that they release the practitioners that were being held. At this point, we could hear the sounds of vehicles and motorcycles rapidly approaching. We asked for Master Li's assistance in leaving this place. When some old men yelled at the young guards and told them to leave, the Village Committee Head signaled for us to hurry away. The kind-hearted man led us out of the village.
