(Clearwisdom.net) In mid-April 2003, another round of brutal persecution against Falun Dafa practitioners was launched at Shibalihe Female Forced Labor Camp, Henan Province. On June 4, three practitioners who remained firm to their beliefs were killed within one day.

On June 6, 2003, Zhengzhou Daily reported that three practitioners, namely Zhang Yali, Zhang Baoju, and Guan Ge "hung themselves in the activity room." The fact is, surveillance apparatus is everywhere at the camp, including in the washroom and shower room. Practitioners who refused to be transformed are constantly surrounded by at least 3 or up to dozens of people who are monitoring them. Practitioners are not allowed to talk to each other, and some are even put in isolation. How could the three practitioners be together? And how could they escape the surveillance and those who monitored them, and go to the activity room to hang themselves?

Back in April 2003, headed by policeman Jia Meili, Ren Yuanfang and Associate Director Zhou Xiaohong, and with the governor of Hebei Province in charge, No.3 Brigade of the camp went on another rampage to brutally persecute practitioners. Four brigades put on loudspeakers that broadcast information defaming Falun Dafa, isolating those who refused to be transformed, and claimed that in two months they would all be transformed. In the past two months, practitioners have endured tremendous abuse and torture. As the two-month period was coming to an end, three practitioners died at their hands.

The policy of the Jiang's regime towards Falun Gong practitioners is "deaths of Falun Gong practitioners due to beatings are to be treated as suicides." A policewoman named Jiang Yanling once said to a practitioner who was on hunger strike, "If you die, it will be counted as a suicide and it will be on the news."

Zhang Baoju was isolated in the library of No. 3 Brigade in April and May 2002. She was not allowed to leave the room and was only allowed 2-3 hours of sleep per day. The rest of the time, the collaborators (former Falun Gong practitioners who have gone astray due to brainwashing and torture) took turns to bombard her with information defaming Falun Dafa in an attempt to brainwash her. She was put through all kind of punishment when her captors perceived that she was not listening or not listening attentively. Zhang Baoju's compassion helped a female collaborator realize that she had gone astray, and she issued a solemn declaration. Later, Zhang Baoju and those who were assigned to transform her were removed from the library. The brainwashing failed.

Ms. Guan Ge was a well-respected teacher at Xinxiang City Teacher's College, Henan Province. In September 2001, she was kidnapped and sentenced to Shibalihe for three years. She arrived at the time when the persecution at No. 3 Brigade intensified. We were not allowed to talk to each other. In many trials of strength between the righteous and the evil, she faced torture calmly. She was so positive, always wearing a smile on her face. All the torture, beatings and abuse could not change her belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

We appeal to the international community to launch an investigation of the Zhengzhou City Shibalihe Female Forced Labour Camp and to find out about the circumstances around the deaths of the three practitioners.
