Under pressure from the government, the guards at Jiamusi City Labor Camp in Heilongjiang Province are using violent means to brainwash Dafa practitioners. Recently, guards tied a pen to a practitioner's fingers and many of them press down the practitioner's hand to sign the "five statements" to create the false reports of "reformed Dafa practitioners."

In November 1999, Dafa practitioner Ms. Sun Jiangyi from Sanmenxia City, Henan Province was arrested when attending a Fa conference in Guangzhou City. She was subsequently tortured for one month in Guangzhou City and was illegally held at the Sanmenxia City Detention Center for one year and four months. She was subsequently transferred to the Shibalihe Female Labor Camp in Zhenzhou City, Henan Province where she was illegally detained for two years. During this period, she was often brutally beaten. In November 2001 she walked out of the labor camp in a dignified manner, with righteous thoughts. Around the Chinese New Year of 2002, she was again illegally sent to Sanmenxia City Detention Center and was held for more than one year.

On February 9, 2003, police officers from Pingdu City Police Department and Dianzi Town Police Station in Shandong Province ransacked the homes of Dafa practitioners Mr. Sun Yuanzong and his brother and arrested these two practitioners without cause. The two practitioners were brutally tortured at the police team and were not allowed to sleep. We heard that Sun Yuanzong's face was covered with bruises. The brothers were sent to a brainwashing class and later transferred to the Pingdu City Police Department Prison.

In late December 2001, Dafa practitioner Ms. Liang Tingting, the former financial manager for the Baoli Group Corporation in Guangzhou City was kidnapped and forcibly sent to the Tianluhu Brainwashing Class in Dongshan District, Guangzhou City. In November 2002, she began a three-month hunger strike to resist the persecution and was transferred to Guangzhou Brainwashing School.

In January 2001, Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Huimin, art editor for the Huacheng Publishing Company was arrested without cause. In March 2001, she was illegally sent to the Chatou Labor Camp in Guangzhou City where she was detained for one year. Around May 2002, she was forcibly sent to Dongshan District Brainwashing Class where she held a hunger strike to resist the evil. In August 2002, she was transferred to Guangzhou Brainwashing School.

It's time to meet the senators: Practitioners who often do things dealing with VIPs know that it's difficult to get to see the senators. However, at the state town meetings, the state senators will meet with the voters and listen to their opinions. This time a Town Meeting was being held, but it takes five hours to drive there. I clearly knew if I missed this opportunity again, I would certainly be ashamed in the future for not having gone. Also, I deeply felt I must be responsible for my ideas and can't just voice them and then rely on others to carry them out. Only three local citizens went to the meeting. Three of us practitioners also went, so the senator held a roundtable meeting with us. I found the senator cares deeply about Falun Gong and said he would try his best to help. A Town Meeting is an effective way to meet with senators.

The story about a teacher at a private kindergarten teach kids. Rongrong is a teacher at a private kindergarten who practices Falun Dafa. Everyday she teaches the children, "Falun Dafa is good," "Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa," and "Truth, Compassion, Tolerance." The children gradually learned to read, "Falun Dafa is good." Their voice resounded in the classroom. Rongrong told the children to read these words to their parents at home. The children said, "OK!"

Treating Dafa with Kindness Cured Cancer; Disrespect Gods and be Tortured by Diseases

In the early summer of 2002, a person who was suffering from esophageal cancer and drank alcohol saw a truth clarification flyer was askew, so he carefully straightened it so it was level. After he returned home, he vomited a lot of blood. Several days later he went back to the hospital for a diagnosis. He found his illness was more than 90% gone. Now he is completely cured.

A 70-year-old woman said in the street, "Falun Gong was giving out flyers last night. Now I have more toilet paper." In January 2002, she became partially paralyzed and bedridden for a long time. After the illness had eased, she broke her shin while walking.

Another 60-year-old woman also spewed disrespectful words against Dafa and received punishment: her stomach prolapsed and she almost died.

Martin Lee, a member of Hong Kong Legislative Council from the Democratic Party wrote an article titled, "China's Word Prison Extending Its Claws," published in the New York Times. He said, "After the Asian economic crisis and SARS, Hong Kong will encounter the most dangerous attack, an attack also coming from China, like SARS, crisis from Article 23, which corrodes basic human rights. This will forever threaten the prosperity and freedom of Hong Kong."
