Toronto: Practitioners Participate in "Canada Day" Parades (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) July 1st was the 136th anniversary of the founding of Canada. Celebrations were held across the country. In Toronto, citizens participated in a wide variety of activities to celebrate Canada's birthday.

At 9:30 a.m., East York's Canada Day Parade started at the corner of Broadview & Danforth Ave. In the procession, there were Canadian government officials, brass band performances, and many more. Falun Dafa practitioners won great attention from the spectators.

Practitioners in Tang Dynasty costumes demonstrated Falun Dafa exercises on the float decorated with a large maple leaf, the symbol prominently displayed on Canada's flag.

Following the float were aboriginal dance performers, and groups in Korean costume, Vietnam folk costume and Taiwanese folk costume, after them were a group of people brandishing colorful ribbons. There were also many kinds of colorful streamers, colorful balloons in the sky; there is also special music, adding richness and diversity to the parade.

At 4:30 p.m., practitioners would go to participate in another Canada Day Parade in nearby Scarborough.
