Some Experiences from My Visit to India

Aug. 10, 2003

I am an Indian practitioner currently in the United States for graduate studies. I came to the US in the fall of 2001 and obtained the Fa at around that time. It has always been my strong wish to introduce Dafa and clarify the truth in India.

I would just like to share some experiences that I had when I visited India in May and June to see my parents. I was not sure about submitting my experiences because I did not do well, but reading experience-sharing articles on Clearwisdom about attempts to introduce Dafa in other countries prompted me to share my experiences.

Studying the Fa is vital to keeping a righteous mind

I had planned to do a lot of Fa-spreading and truth-clarification, but unfortunately, I did not pay attention to studying the Fa and personal cultivation. Also, I had not clearly clarified the truth to my parents while I was in the US, so I had to spend most of my time clarifying the truth to my family about why we practiced outside in parks and handed out flyers to end the persecution. Also, I had strong sentimentality - I had been brought up to listen to my parents and I was timid about doing some things that I thought they would disapprove of. Looking back, I believe that it was because I did not study the Fa every day as usual. I would recommend that practitioners who go to countries or places where there are few practitioners, they should study the Fa a lot, as this is the only thing that I believe will ensure we have righteous thoughts and less interference.

I did practice on the beach and in parks for a few days, mailed packages to important politicians and contacted the local media, but my efforts fell way short of what I could have done. The days that things went well were usually the days on which I studied the Fa a lot.

Making a flyer in the local language

It took me a long time to make the flyer in Tamil, the local language, due to various forms of interference. In fact, even as I was making the finishing touches on the flyer, I asked myself whether this was any use, as I had just a week more and I wouldn't be able to distribute many flyers anyway. However, the moment I finished typing up the flyer, it felt as though something had been broken through - things suddenly felt very different. I believe that creating the flyer had broken through a lot of interference in other dimensions. It seemed as though the obstacles and pressure blocking me had eased a lot. In the remaining week after I made the flyer, I found that Fa-rectification work became easier to do.

Sending righteous thoughts

On my first night at my home in India, I saw a lot of weird beings flying around through my celestial eye. This was the first time I saw something very clearly through my celestial eye. After seeing these beings, I could no longer sleep, and got up to send forth righteous thoughts. I sent righteous thoughts for 15 minutes, but I did not feel like I had made much difference. It was only after three days of sending forth righteous thoughts at the predetermined times that I felt that the evil beings starting to lose their strength.

When I came back to the US from India, I felt bad that I had not done much clarifying the truth and introducing Dafa. However, for around a month after I came back, whenever I sent forth righteous thoughts, I "saw" the places that I had visited when I was in India. My understanding is that when I went there, I established a relationship with that place, and when I was sending forth righteous thoughts, I was also purging the evil beings in that place due to some relationship I established while I was there.

Predestined people

Of course, predestined people were everywhere! When I was practicing at the beach one day, a young man came up to me and requested me to teach him the exercises. After we were done, he remarked that he had come to the beach every evening for three years, and he now knew that he had come to the beach just for finding the practice! He said that he felt that he was very fortunate that he had met me and was glad to learn something that would guide his life. He also treated me to some tea, and refused to accept any money for it, adding that just meeting me and learning the practice had been a fortunate experience for him.

These are just some experiences that I would like to share - I hope this is of help to practitioners who go to other countries to clarify the truth.
