On July 29, 2003, the police forcefully abducted the five of us to a brainwashing center. The center has about 30 practitioners. The heads of local "610 Office" [a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches] and some former practitioners who betrayed Dafa attempted to force us to give up the practice by various means, including brainwashing and threatening. I began a hunger strike on that same day in order to protest. Regardless of how they tried to brainwash or attack me, I persisted in clarifying the truth to them, exposing the evil, and correcting the facts that they had distorted. They finally had nothing to say to me so they were very much discouraged. They just looked at each other and walked away. Some of them even kept nodding as they listened to me. While this was all happening, I sent forth righteous thoughts continuously and asked Teacher to strengthen me. On the fourth day, my body started to show dangerous symptoms of mistreatment. They were afraid to take responsibility should anything happen to me and had to release me.

After my niece went overseas, she did not want to accept Dafa. She bought a fake diploma and certificate and immigrated overseas. For the past several years, she has not called us once. At the beginning of this year, she had a baby. I took this opportunity to make a phone call congratulating her and sent her Zhuan Falun [Mainábook of Falun Dafa] and some Dafa materials. A week later, the package was returned back to me with a note "addressee could not be found." My husband insisted that we should not spend money to send it again. I became angry at my niece. However, through studying the Fa and looking inside myself, I calmed down. For the next few days, I kept sending forth righteous thoughts in order to eliminate the evil around her. Then I sent the package again. Three days later, my niece called me on the telephone and happily said that she had received the package. She said that she would read Zhuan Falun and that the Falun Gong practitioners in her area held many activities and that she often went there to check new materials. My niece's change inspired me a lot. The actual situation was exactly the opposite of my speculation. She had changed her attitude toward Dafa, yet I was still looking at her using my old judgements. This matter also shows that the evil already has no ability to control the human society to a large extent. We should not look at things holding our old attachments, but rather quickly remove our bad thoughts, speed up our own cultivation, and catch up with the process of Fa-rectification.

Overcoming Obstacles, Seeing Dafa's Truth

In October 2002, Apan was hit by a car on her way to school and immediately lost consciousness. A student from the crowd assisted the driver to take her to the hospital. At the hospital, an X-ray was done for her. During the ride to the hospital, the driver found an excuse to call a taxi and escaped himself. When her school teacher and classmate asked about the driver's name and license plate number, Apan said, "He did not do it intentionally. The doctor did not find anything wrong with me. Therefore, I did not ask him or write it down." The next day, she started to have bloody stools, vertigo, and nausea. Several areas in her extremeties turned black and blue. Apan was not afraid and persisted in practicing the exercises. She fully recovered within one month.

I have been interested in the mysteries of the universe since I was very young. One morning, I met a Falun Gong practitioner and brought Zhuan Falun home. I called my family members and friends to introduce Dafa to them. My brother, who I have been admiring since I was little, said many slanderous words about Dafa. I suddenly became so confused. Soon, it was July 20, 1999. The endless TV propaganda slandering Falun Gong made me disgusted, but it also made me re-evaluate Falun Gong. Then I found two of Teacher's articles on the Internet. These articles weighed heavy in my heart and made me want to practice Falun Gong again. I finally arrived in the United States after going through many tribulations. The second day upon arriving the States, I received a booklet about Falun Gong. I was so shocked by the truth and couldn't believe that the government had been lying. I started to search on the Internet and found that all of the Falun Dafa materials were correct. For the next few days, I could hardly eat or sleep. I eagerly read Teacher's articles and resumed practicing the exercises. Gradually, I began to step forward to validate Dafa and clarify the truth to Chinese people.

Jiang's regime recently held three brainwashing sessions at Hongweixing Brainwashing Center at Daqing, Heilongjiang Province for personnel from "610 Office" in different work units and police squads. They showed lies, including the staged Tiananmen Square self-immolation to poison and deceive the more than 60 participants. Jiang's regime attempted to use this method to persecute Falun Gong practitioners.

A Chinese meteorologist reports that this summer from June 1 to August 2, the majority of areas in China had a higher temperatures than normal. Only a few areas in North China, the Yellow River and Huai River regions, the northeast region, and the region east of Tibet had lower temperatures compared to the same time in the previous years. The scope and the duration of the high temperatures is a rare event in history. The high temperatures have occured five times in the past five years. Heavenly disaster is a prediction and a warning. Five years of high temperatures and drought began around the same time as the persecution of Falun Gong started and has continued until today.
