Karmic Retribution: The First Judge To Sentence Dafa Practitioners to Prison Dies of Lung Cancer

Jan. 17, 2004

(Clearwisdom.net) On November 12, 1999, the first trial of Falun Gong practitioners was held in Haikou City, Hainan Province. Chen Yuanchao, head of Criminal Section One of Haokou Intermediate Court, served as the judge, and he illegally sentenced four practitioners to prison, with terms ranging from two to 12 years. For this act, he was praised by the Central Government Political and Legal Committee and the Supreme Court, who bestowed him with the "Individual Second Class Merit Award" and the Haokou Intermediate Court "Group Second Class Merit Award."

In November 2001, a medical checkup found a "shadow" in Chen Yuanchao's lung. On March 18, 2002, a CT examination found that he had developed lung cancer. He died at 6:35 p.m. on September 2, 2003.

Editors' Note: Each time we publish news of this nature, we do so with heavy hearts. These people started off as public servants, but under the intense pressure applied by the Jiang regime, they were pushed into persecuting Dafa disciples. In the process of destroying the lives of kind, law-abiding citizens, they have sealed their own fates and inevitably faced karmic retribution as punishment. If it weren't for Jiang's wicked orders, perhaps their fates would have been different.
