Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Xiuzhen from Anqiu City, Shandong Province, was abducted in late 2002, and given an illegal prison sentence. She held a hunger strike for ten months during her incarceration and was on the brink of death. Being afraid of taking responsibility, the authorities sent her home. One month after her release, the perpetrators abducted her again and sent her to a "610 Office" sponsored brainwashing class. She was not allowed to sleep for 28 days and was also ruthlessly force-fed through a tube. At the same time, the perpetrators also directed the collaborators [former Falun Gong practitioners who went astray due to their weak mindset and gave in to torture and brainwashing] to savagely torture her, both physically and mentally. Right now, Li Xiuzhen has been forced to leave home to avoid further persecution and illegal arrest.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Wenfu, male, 70 years old, lived in the Party School residential building in Jianshe District in Beipiao City, Liaoning Province. He is retired and used to be an official of the Beipiao City Party School. Because he persisted in his belief in Truth-Compassion-Tolerance, in 2001, the deputy head of Beipiao City's "610 Office" and Beipiao City Police Department changed his age from 68 to 60 in order to send him to a labor camp. In June 2003, Mr. Wang Wenfu was arrested for the sixth time for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong and was illegally sentenced to six years in prison.

Since July 20, 1999, Wang Jiahui, male, former party secretary of No .1 Experimental School in Tai'an City and the school principal Jiang Yandong conducted a series of persecution acts in collaboration with the police against Falun Gong practitioners at the school. At least eight former employees of the school were abducted and detained. They were sent to brainwashing classes and their homes were ransacked; they were fined and sadistically tortured. Two practitioners were sent to a labor camp and were transferred out of the school. One practitioner, an assistant principal, was fired. He had previously been abducted numerous times, been detained and sent to a brainwashing class. In February 2003, he was sentenced to three years of forced labor and fined tens of thousands of Yuan. Because he did not earn enough money to pay for the fine, the perpetrators drew from his non-practitioner wife's salary to cover the fine, which resulted in his wife divorcing him.

On January 6, 2004, Dafa practitioners Li Shangchun and his wife Guo Aiying from Juancheng County were reported while distributing truth clarification materials in Chenliang Village in Zuoying Town. At around 6:00 p.m., police broke into their home and abducted Li Shangchun and his wife. They took them to Mudan District "610 Office" and confiscated his laptop, a CD burner, a photocopy machine and some Dafa materials.

In the evening of January 8, 2004, Dafa practitioners Liu Yang, Ms Guo Hongxiu and Jin Zhenhong from Gaizhou City, Liaoning Province went to Xiaoshipeng Town to distribute Dafa truth clarification materials. Officers from the local police station abducted them. They are currently being held at the Gaizhou City Detention Center. The three practitioners protested the persecution by holding a hunger strike and refusing to wear prison uniforms. They were force-fed and Liu Yang was shackled with heavy foot-chains. The practitioners are extremely weak from the mistreatment they have received in the detention center.

Persecution of female practitioners at Chengdu City Detention Center:

In July 2003, the guards savagely beat Dafa practitioner Ms. Gu Zhengfen. Another practitioner stood up and tried to stop the beating. As a result, both practitioners were tortured. Their hands were cuffed behind their backs and their feet were shackled with chains weighing more than 50 pounds. The inmates wrapped tape around Gu Zhenfen's entire head, except for her eyes and nostrils. The detention center has detained many Dafa practitioners over the years, who had been sentenced to forced labor but were rejected by labor camps because they showed symptoms of severe illnesses. Under the terrible conditions in the detention center, and because of practitioners' constant hunger strikes to protest the illegal detention, many practitioners are extremely weak and their blood pressure is constantly on the rise.
