Changing Myself

Oct. 12, 2004 |   By a practitioner in China

(Clearwisdom.net) As a Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple, the issue is not what I can do or what I'm good at doing during the Fa-rectification, but what Fa-Rectification needs me to do.

I used to think: I'll do what I can. Sometimes I would avoid difficulties and clarify the truth about Dafa only to those who were receptive and ready to accept it.

Master told us,

"For a Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple, personal liberation is not the goal of cultivation: when you came, saving sentient beings was your great aspiration, and that is the responsibility and mission history has bestowed upon you in Fa-rectification. Thus great numbers of beings are to be saved by you." ("Let Go of Human Attachments and Save the World's People")

From Master's words, I have enlightened to the understanding that I should change myself and save sentient beings with the compassion that can melt iron and steel. I should never skirt difficulties; instead, I should face them and resolve them with righteous thoughts and actions.

People all have both good and evil natures. It is hard to differentiate contemporary people from their surface appearance and behavior. If we always see the evil side of people and simply do not want to talk with them, how can we save them? Once we change ourselves, we can develop greater compassion for saving sentient beings.
