Three Stories About Clarifying the Truth in Manhattan

(Clearwisdom.net)

1. Once when we were clarifying the truth in Manhattan, an elderly Chinese man came over to ask us, "Jiang Zemin has stepped down, what are you going to do?" The practitioner said, "We want to put him on trial." The man raised his hand with his thumb up and said, "Good!" He told us that he's a Christian and a former director of a surgical unit in China. In the various political persecutions in China, he was always a target. He said that Jiang is now persecuting Falun Gong and quite corrupt. Now the country is in chaos and China's image has been tarnished. The practitioner said to him, "You can see the situation clearly. Please tell your friends and family the facts about Falun Gong." He said, "I have been doing that." When he left, he wished us success.

2. On the weekends, practitioners spend their evenings putting on truth clarifying videos in midtown. Once, three African-American youths came over. A practitioner gave one of them a newsletter. He made a face, threw it away and walked on. When they saw the projection video, they stopped to watch. One of them said, "It's about persecution." After watching it for a little bit, he said to his friend who had thrown away the newsletter, "How could you throw that away?" The youth felt ashamed. Then the practitioner went over and gave them each of them a newsletter. This time they put them away carefully in their pockets.

3. An American said to a practitioner holding a "Please Help Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong" banner, "That banner was made for me." Seeing that the practitioner didn't understand what he meant, he explained that he wanted to have the banner to hang in his window. He said, "Next year, I am planning to visit China. I'll go to Tiananmen Square and open up this banner." The practitioner told him that this would be dangerous because the police in China can do anything to him. He said, "I am not afraid" and put away the banner carefully.
