Since late 1999, the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp in Guangdong Province has become the frontrunner in the persecution of Falun Gong. In the past five years, more than 600 practitioners have been tortured here. Practitioner Lai Zhijun was tortured to death, practitioners Hong Haoyuan and Wang Shubin were tortured to the brink of death and passed away soon after they returned home. Countless other practitioners were disabled from torture. The Sanshui Forced Labor Camp organized three rounds of extremely malicious persecution against practitioners after December 2002.

Before October 1 (this year's "National Day"), the Yunnan Province "610 Office" and the police department held a secret meeting and spread the rumor that Falun Gong was going to participate in a large activity over the October 1st national holiday. They arranged illegal monitoring of the practitioners on various levels. This harassment targeted practitioners in the countryside, factories, mines and schools. On the evening of September 15, practitioner Zhang Xiuying was abducted and secretly held at the Xishan District Detention Center. On September 19, practitioner Yang Suhong, who is disabled, was abducted from home and is currently being held at the Xishan District Detention Center. On September 20, practitioner and English teacher Mei Bilin was abducted and was sent to the Yunnan Provincial Female Labor Camp in Dabanqiao, Kunming City. She was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor. On September 20, perpetrators from the Wuhua National Security Team in Kunming abducted practitioners Ma Ling and Wang Jinjie from Yunnan University and sent them to the Wuhua District Detention Center.

The perpetrators from Lidao Town Police Station and from the Madao Police Station ransacked the homes of practitioner Ms. Qu Xiumei in Cangerya Village and Ms. Wang Guiying in Shishan Village in Madao, Lidao Town, Rongcheng City, Shandong Province, and abducted these good people while they were resting at home. On August 19, the police issued warrants, sentencing the practitioners to forced labor.

Practitioner Zhang Jinai from Shijiazhuang City's No. 2 Valve Factory exposed her persecution experiences on the Minghui website. The perpetrators abducted her for the second time on September 17 and sent her to Shijiazhuang City Brainwashing Center.

Practitioner Li Guiling was sentenced to one-and-a half years of forced labor for the second time in 2002. After May 1, 2004, her term had expired and she was transferred to the Xinglongshan Brainwashing Class. Li Guiling persisted in practicing Falun Dafa and was sent back to the labor camp for another year.
