Indiana, USA: Practitioners Participate in International Festival (Photos)

Nov. 10, 2004 |   By a Practitioner in Indiana

(Clearwisdom.net) From November 4 to 7, 2004, the annual International Festival was held in Indianapolis, the capital of the state of Indiana. Falun Gong practitioners participated in this festival for the fourth time.

On the first day, the festival exhibition was open especially for school students. Though it rained, the children watched the different countries' exhibitions in high spirits. The Falun Dafa practitioners' booth caught the attention of teachers and students.

Many children stood at the booth and watched practitioners demonstrate the exercises. Some children sat beside the practitioners and learned the hand gestures, and many asked for a seal of "Falun Dafa is good" on their arms or notebooks and then happily read aloud "Falun Dafa is good." Many students also asked questions.

Many parents and teachers came to the festival and learned about Falun Gong from the practitioners. All people who learned the facts had sympathy for the practitioners being persecuted in China, and were shocked at the brutal torture. Some parents learned the Falun Gong exercises during the festival. One parent was very interested in the exercises after talking with the practitioners, and asked her three children to learn the exercises as well. She said that she would support Dafa and practitioners.

Besides students, teachers, and parents, the exhibition staff, and people from other exhibition booths, came to acquire information and talk with practitioners. A gentleman from Taiwan stopped at our booth to talk with practitioners. He condemned the Jiang faction's persecution of Falun Gong.

At the end of the first day of the exhibition, many children and adults left with Dafa introduction flyers, truth-clarification VCDs, and bookmarks in hand. The practitioners hope they will share the materials with family and friends.
