(Clearwisdom.net) Frankfurt practitioners recently held an "information day" event in Bad Homburg. Many passersby stopped at practitioners' booth, read the posters carefully and asked many questions such as: "What is Falun Gong?" and "Why Falun Gong is being persecuted?" After learning the truth, many signed their names on practitioners' petitions calling for an end to the persecution.
Three weeks ago when I was in Bad Homburg, I met a Chinese person who was very surprised after hearing that I practice Falun Gong, since he did not know that there were people practicing Falun Gong outside of China and the U.S.. This encouraged me to organize a Falun Gong Information Day in Bad Homburg .
Our site was in the Marketplace. Behind us, there was a beautiful fountain called the Fountain of Light, the base of which was carved with magnificent art-work. It was a sunny and warm October day. We set up our table and displayed posters explaining how Falun Dafa is practiced in over 60 countries around the world but has been persecuted in China for the last five years. As soon as our table was set up, many people stopped to read the posters carefully and asked what Falun Gong is and why it is being suppressed. We could see clearly that these people were quite interested and surprised to hear that such a peaceful practice is being so brutally persecuted.
Many people asked whether there is a practice site where they can learn the Falun Gong exercises in Bad Homburg. Most people signed the petition form calling for an end to the persecution even before listening to our explanations, since they felt sympathy for Dafa practitioners being persecuted in China and contempt for the evil people who use torture and maltreatment to try to force innocent people to betray their beliefs.
There were a few coffee shops and benches for people to rest on nearby and because of the good weather, many people were sitting there. They all watched the exercise demonstration full of interest and then came to talk to us. When we finished, all the practitioners believed that this was a very successful activity, which effectively told people the truth of Falun Gong and the persecution in China.
