1. [Liaoning Province] Officials at Huludao Forced Labor Camp in Liaoning Province Refuse to Release Yang Jiangwei Despite His Precarious Physical Condition
Falun Dafa practitioner Yang Jiangwei is from Suizhong County in Huludao City, Liaoning Province. Mr. Yang has been in a precarious physical condition for an extended period of time (throwing up whatever little food he had taken in) and has become emaciated. Authorities of Huludao Labor Camp, where Mr. Yang is held, still refuse to release him.

2. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Yan and Wife Li Yueran from Mancheng County Unlawfully Sentenced to Prison in Secret
Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Yan was sentenced to eight years in prison while on a 170-day hunger strike. He has been unlawfully held at Shijiazhuang No. 4 Prison in Hebei Province. He was sentenced to prison when he was in an extremely weak condition. At the time of sentencing, his weight had dropped to below 66 pounds - a dangerously low weight, given his height of over 6 feet. Mr. Wang was not able to speak, think clearly, or walk on his own. His family was not notified of the situation either.
Ms. Li Yueran has been unlawfully sentenced to fifteen years in prison. She has been unlawfully held at Shijiazhuang No. 2 Prison, where she has been resisting the persecution by keeping up righteous thoughts.

3. [Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Yuxiang on the Verge of Death as a Result of Torture at Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp
In March 2004 Ms. Wang Yuxiang was unlawfully sentenced to three years of forced labor. She is being held at Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp where she is receiving excessively inhumane treatment. Labor camp guards and collaborators (former practitioners who have given up their belief under pressure), forcibly ordered her to stand up for six days and nights in an attempt to coerce her into giving up practicing Falun Dafa. As a result, her physical condition deteriorated significantly and she became urinary incontinent.
Ms. Wang was then shocked with an electric baton numerous times after she refused to study slanderous materials and take "exams" that defamed Falun Dafa. On July 26, 2004, all joints in Ms. Wang's four limbs were injured when uniformed guards Zhang Guimei and Liu Zhiwei applied excessive electric shocks on her for her refusal to participate in punitive forced labor. Because of the abuse she has suffered, Wang Yuxiang has reached the point where she can no longer take care of herself.
Since Ms. Wang could not walk on her own, leaders of the No. 4 Unit, where she is being held, have denied all visits from her family. Ms. Wang's mother, in her 70's, traveled to the Heizuizi Women's Labor Camp from out of town several times but never got to meet her daughter. Under excessive inhumane mental and physical torture, Ms. Wang could take in very little food. She has not had a bowel movement for over a month. Her heart, lungs, stomach and intestines are all barely functioning. In order to cover up the facts of the labor camp brutality, the authorities have refused to release Ms. Wang on medical parole. Wang Yuxiang's life is in imminent danger.

4. [Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Chu Xiuhe Becomes Very Weak Due to Torture Received at Heilongjiang Women's Prison
Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Chu Xiuhe has been unlawfully held in the patients' ward at Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison. Her legs are already disabled, and with the inhumane treatment she has suffered in the prison, her condition is getting worse.
5. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Jin Guihua, over Seventy Years Old, Again Taken into Custody
Ms. Jin Guihau, in her 70's, is a Falun Dafa practitioner in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province. After the persecution of Falun Dafa began, Ms. Jin went to Beijing on foot to validate Falun Dafa. In 2001, she was held in a brainwashing unit for about two months.
On September 27, 2004, Ms. Jin was abducted by several officers from Nandajie Police Station in Changzhou City and taken to a local brainwashing unit.

6. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Chen Chaowei Again Unlawfully Arrested
Changzhou City Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Chen Chaowei had been unlawfully sentenced to three years of forced labor. She was released in February 2004. However at the end of September, she was again unlawfully taken into custody.

7. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Yiping and Ms. Guo Li, of Weifang Institute, Forced into a Brainwashing Unit Run by the "610 Office"
Ms. Wang Yiping, 55, is a senior lecturer at Weifang Institute. Since the end of 2003, she has been suspended from the payroll for adhering to the teachings of Falun Dafa.
Around 9:00 a.m. on October 26, 2004, an official in the institute's Human Resources Division (said to have the last name of Zhang) called Ms. Wang at her home. He asked her to go to the institute to sign some salary-related documents. Ms. Wang and her husband went to the institute together. Over twenty security guards at the institute rudely abducted her and took her to the brainwashing unit run by the Weifang "610 Office."
On the morning of October 26, around the same time Ms. Wang was abducted, another official arranged for Ms. Guo Li, a Falun Dafa practitioner in her 40's, to purchase some office supplies. As soon as Ms. Guo got into the waiting van, she was driven to the brainwashing unit run by the "610 Office."
It has been reported that Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Yiping has been on a hunger strike since the first day of her abduction.

8. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Wang Guichun Arrested for Posting Hong Kong Media Reports While Chatting Over the Internet
Wang Guichun was an employee at the computing center of the State Tax Bureau in Tonghua City, Jilin Province. Mr. Wang was expelled from the tax bureau in 1999 for practicing Falun Gong and subsequently sentenced to one year and a half of forced labor by the Dongchang District Police Department.
In early September of this year, Mr. Wang posted a news report by the Hong Kong-based Epoch Times while chatting over the Internet from a terminal in the tax bureau. Bureau officials alerted the "610 Office." On the morning of September 13, 2004, officers from the Dongchang District Police Department came to the tax bureau and took Mr. Wang into custody. He is currently being held at Tonghua City Detention Center.
9. [Baoji, Shaanxi Province] Police Unlawfully Arrest Falun Dafa Practitioners and Extort Cash from Their Families
Xin Chao and Luo Yanting from the Baoji area in Shaanxi Province were unlawfully detained on May 18, 2004. They were unlawfully sentenced to prison on September 10. During the fifteen-day period of appeal, Xin Chao suddenly developed diabetes. Xin's family was extorted by 10,000 yuan (1) before Xin Chao was released on parole for medical treatment.

10. [Beijing] Tongzhou District Falun Dafa Practitioners Ms. An Xiuzhi and Her Husband under Persecution
Tongzhou District Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. An Xiuzhi was arrested at her home by police and members of the "610 Office" in April 2004. She was taken to Daying Brainwashing Unit in the Tongzhou District. Ms. An has been force-fed numerous times for staying on hunger strike. She was then forcibly sent to Qiaozhuang Detention Center in the Tongzhou District and later to the Fengtai District for further inhumane torture. In August 2004, An Xiuzhi was taken back to Qiaozhuang Detention Center. In September, she was put on trial by the Tongzhou District Court. The authorities adjourned the session due to lack of evidence. Currently, Ms. An's whereabouts are unknown.
In September, her husband, also a Falun Dafa practitioner, was again taken into custody at Qiaozhuang Detention Center by the police.

11. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Shouxian Died in 2001 from Harassment
Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang Shouxian, 63, was from Baojia Town in Nong'an County, Jilin Province. He suffered from a total of four illnesses before starting to practice Falun Dafa: coronary heart disease, thrombosis, diabetes and numbness in the throat. He was on the verge of death while being hospitalized in Changchun Hospital. Doctors claimed he was terminally ill. After he began practicing Falun Dafa in 1996, Mr. Zhang recovered completely and started a new life.
In January 2000, Mr. Zhang went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. Subsequently, he was unlawfully held in custody, his home was ransacked, and the police extorted his family out of money. On June 26, 2000, Mr. Zhang was taken from his home to a detention center for torture. After he was released, he remained under constant harassment and threat. Zhang Shouxian died on December 24, 2001.
12. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Campaign of Massive Arrests of Falun Dafa Practitioners Underway
On October 27, the Jixi City police launched an all-out campaign in subsidiary Jidong County and Mishan City to arrest Falun Dafa practitioners. Mr. Zhang Yuezeng and wife, Ms. Sun Jinkui, from Jixi City, Mr. Qu Dehong and wife from Jidong County, and Mr. Xing Defu from Mishan City were all arrested on the same day by local police. More information is being gathered about other arrests of Falun Dafa practitioners.
13. [Liaoning Province] Zhuanghe Police in Dalian City Arrest Mr. Liu Zhenfu and Ms. Lu Fengying
Around 11:00 p.m. on October 14, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Liu Zhenfu and Ms. Lu Fengying went to Hehuashan Town in Dalian City, Liaoning Province to distribute Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials. Officers from the Hehuashan Police Station arrested them upon receiving reports about their activities, and drove them to the police station. Early next morning, Mr. Liu managed to escape with righteous thoughts in mind. He has been forced to stay out of town and has become destitute. On the morning of October 15, Ms. Lu was sent to Zhuanghe Detention Center by the Xinhua Branch Police Department in Zhuanghe City. In the afternoon on the same day, her home was ransacked.

14. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Fang Remains in Custody at Masanjia after Her Term Expires, for Refusing to Give Up Her Belief
Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Fang, an employee of Huaxing Machinery Company Ltd. in Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, was arrested in October 2001. After her arrest by officers from Huaxing Police Station, she was unlawfully sentenced to three years of forced labor and sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for inhumane treatment. She has been held at Unit 1 of the No. 2 Women's Camp.
Ms. Wang's term expired on October 17, 2004. However, Masanjia authorities have claimed that she will be held in custody as long as she doesn't give up her belief in Falun Dafa.
15. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Dayou Township Police Send Ms. Sun Jiping to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for Abuse
Ms. Sun Jiping is a Falun Dafa practitioner in Dayou Township, Linghai City, Liaoning Province. On September 6, 2004, officers from the Dayou Township Police Station arrested her after receiving reports that she was raising public awareness about Falun Dafa. Ms. Sun was sent to Linghai City Detention Center and held there for fifteen days. When her family heard about this and brought clothes for her to the detention center, officials did not allow them to meet Ms. Sun. Her family had to pay 345 yuan for "meal expenses" on her behalf before they were promised that the clothes would be delivered.
Fifteen days later, Ms. Sun Jiping was secretly taken to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for inhumane treatment. According to witnesses, Ms. Sun was taken away at noon on September 20 in the rain. She looked very weak and her eyes were deeply sunken due to severe weight loss. Later, Ms. Sun's son went to Masanjia to visit her but was denied by the labor camp authorities.

16. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Officers from the No. 1 Division of the Police Department Arrest Mr. Zhao Yunshan
On September 18, 2004, Fushun City Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhao Yunshan was arrested at Gaozhong by officers from the No. 1 Division of Fushun City. He was initially taken to Liushan Detention Center, unlawfully sentenced to forced labor around October 1st, and then subsequently transferred to Wujiabao Forced Labor Camp. Mr. Zhao is now on a hunger strike in protest. The whereabouts of the other Falun Dafa practitioner, Ms. Tong Linlin, who was arrested together with Mr. Zhao, remain unknown.
17. [Lishu County, Jilin Province] Ms. Gu Shufen Arrested
A little past 8:00 a.m. on October 5, 2004, Ms. Gu Shufen from Lishu County, Jilin Province was distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials, when she was grabbed by a man in his 30s who was unaware of the truth of the persecution. The man dragged her to where he could make a phone call. Soon, in response to an emergency 110 call (2), the police arrived and took Ms. Gu to Lishu Detention Center, where she has been held in custody.
18. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ding Zhenfang Inhumanely Tortured at Zhoushuizi Forced Labor Camp in Dalian
On August 19, 2004, Ms. Ding Zhenfang was arrested and interrogated by officers from the Rixin Police Station in the Xigang District of Dalian City, Liaoning Province for raising public awareness about Falun Dafa while riding on a bus.
Ms. Ding refused to cooperate with the authorities and was directly sent to Zhoushuizi Forced Labor Camp in Dalian on the same evening. On her way to the labor camp, Ms. Zhou kept shouting "Falun Dafa Is Good." She went on a hunger strike protesting the unlawful custody and was taken to an underground cell as soon as she arrived at the labor camp. Her four limbs were tied tightly with ropes. Inmates were called in to arbitrarily beat, curse and otherwise torture her. This lasted for over a month. Even the inmates who had been abusing her felt this was too much. They begged the unit heads to untie the ropes. However several female unit heads insisted on carrying on the inhumane torture. Reports on Ms. Ding's current situation are not available.

19. [Tianjin] Ms. Liu Shuping Taken Back to Tianjin City Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp for Persecution
Ms. Liu Shuping, 49, is from Wuqing County, Tianjin City. She made a living primarily by running a proprietary tailoring business. Hers was a happy and well-to-do family. Simply for her belief in being a good person by adhering to "Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance," she had been unlawfully sentenced to one year of forced labor. Ms. Liu has suffered extensive mental and physical abuse at the labor camp.
Liu Shuping's term had been extended twice while she was held in Group No. 1 of Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp, because of her refusal to write a "Statement of Guarantee," "Statement of Repentance," "Statement of Criticism," and other statements renouncing Falun Gong. Each extension lasted for six months. As the expiration of her second extension was approaching, the labor camp guards deprived her of sleep for over a month. As Ms. Liu still refused to give in, the original organization that began persecuting her took her away from the labor camp at the beginning of 2003 and threw her into a local detention center. This time she was again sentenced to three years of forced labor and taken back to Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp in Tianjin in less than half a month.

20. [Suixi County, Anhui Province] Ms. Xia Hongxia and Mr. Yu Yizhi Arrested
On September 24, 2004, Suixi County Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Xia Hongxia was arrested by local police and officials from the political security section at her home. After being held at the detention center for twenty-eight days, she was unlawfully sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor by the Suixi County "610 Office."
Suixi County Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Yu Yizhi was arrested on October 26. He is being held at Suixi County Detention Center.
21. [Xuchang City, Henan Province] Police Arrest Ms. Zhang Peisheng
Xuchang City Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Peisheng was followed by police officers during the October 1st National Day holiday season. She was subsequently arrested by Weidu District police and taken to Xuchang City Detention Center for abuse.
22. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Shaoshan Procuratorate Unlawfully Prosecutes Mr. Zhou Jingcheng
Mr. Zhou Jingcheng, 43, is from Baimaqiao Township in Ningxiang County, Changsha City, Hunan Province. On September 26, 2004, Mr. Zhou was arrested for distributing truth-clarifying CDs in downtown Shaoshan City. He has been on a hunger strike since the day of his arrest.
The Shaoshan Procuratorate has prosecuted Mr. Zhou for distributing truth-clarifying materials. The authorities had rescheduled the trial date several times, each time to a date before the date set previously. The hearing was held on October 24, 2004. The court changed the location to a room within the Shaoshan Detention Center without notifying Mr. Zhou's family. Prior to this, officials of the Ningxiang "610 Office" had applied pressure on Mr. Zhou's attorney. As a result, the attorney did not show up in the courtroom.
