1. Ms. Li Jianmei and her sister are sent to a forced labor camp for the second time

Falun Dafa practitioners Li Jianmei and Li Jianhui are sisters. On July 15, 2003 policemen from Yingshijie Police Station abducted them both for the second time. After they were detained in Liuchangshan Detention Center for over one month, they were sent to Shandong Women's Forced Labor Camp (Jiangshuiquan Forced Labor Camp in Jinan City). They were illegally sentenced to one year and 9 months in prison. Only their mother, who is in her 80's, and a 13-year-old child were left at home with no one to take care of them. Ms. Li Jianmei is 45 years old and Li Jianhui is 41 years old. They were first sentenced to a forced labor camp in 2000 because they continued practicing Falun Gong and made appeals. That time they were sentenced to 3 years and detained at Jiangshuiquan Forced Labor Camp in Jinan City. They suffered all kinds of cruel torture and enslavement.

--My name is Dou Yongchun and I am from Dongguhe Village of Linwu Town in Anqiu City. In December 2000 I went with other practitioners to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. As soon as we got off the bus, we were abducted by police officers. They dragged us into a police car and took us to our local government's liaison office in Beijing. We stayed there one day and suffered all manner of humiliation and cruel beatings. They handcuffed us together and forced us sit on the cold floor for the whole night. The next day the officials from our town brought us back. They detained us for over 10 days and forced my relatives pay 3000 Yuan before releasing me.

--My name is Dou Yongxin. I am a 39-year-old woman from Liuheguanzhuang Village of Guanzhuang Town. I went to Beijing in November 2000 and was abducted by policemen from the National Security Bureau as soon as I got off the bus. I was sent to our local government's liaison office in Beijing. The next day the officials from our town brought me back. It was in the wintertime. In the early morning the officials handcuffed me to a tree in the yard of the local government building. I was so cold that I lost consciousness. They detained me for 3 days and extorted 1500 yuan from my family before releasing me. In the winter of 2001, I went to a fellow practitioner's home to study the teachings of Falun Dafa and somebody reported us to the police. Police officers from the Police Department of Anqiu City abducted us and detained us for 10 days. They extorted 2500 yuan from my family members before releasing me. Afterwards, the police from the local police station frequently came to my home to harass us.

--My name is Pang Shumei. I live in Wushilipu Village of Guanzhuang Town in Anqiu City. I am 35 years old. On January 31, 2000 I went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong with some other practitioners. Once we arrived at Tiananmen Square we were abducted by a gang of policemen. They kicked and beat us. They dragged us into a police car and sent us to our local government's liaison office in Beijing. After being detained there, we were transferred to a detention center. We continued practicing Falun Gong everyday. They tortured and beat us every day. They forced us to stand in snow; sometimes they bound us with heavy iron chains. We couldn't use the bathroom without help due to the chains. Then we started a hunger strike to protest the persecution. After 6 days we were released.

--My name is Li Delan; I am 61 years old and I live in Liuheguozhuang Village of Guanzhuang Town in Anqiu City. In early December 2000 I went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong with some other practitioners. When I called out, "Falun Dafa is good" police officers from the National Security Bureau seized me and beat me. They beat me so badly that I vomited blood and saw sparks in front of my eyes. After being sent back to our town, we were beaten with the sole of a shoe. It was wintertime, and they handcuffed three of us to a tree in the yard of the town government building. We lost consciousness due to the cold. In early January of 2002 some fellow practitioners came to my home to study the teachings of Falun Dafa together when somebody reported us to the police. I was abducted to the municipal detention center. They tied me to the "iron chair" for 4 days and nights without anything to eat. When they released me from the iron chair, I couldn't move at all.

Police officer Zhu Haiting is the director of the Detention Center of Nanpi County. He frequently beat detained Falun Gong practitioners. He hit the practitioners' faces with the sole of shoe. He shocked practitioners' necks and backs with electric batons and slapped practitioners in the face. In 2003 he ordered others to torture a female practitioner by hanging her up, tying her to an iron chair, suffocating her with a heavy quilt, and force-feeding her. These tortures caused the practitioner to vomit blood and have difficulty breathing.

Liu Zhaofang, 60 years old, was beaten by Guo Lijuan and her subordinate in September 2002 for distributing Falun Gong materials. They beat her so badly that she almost lost consciousness. Ms. He Xiaoqin, 24 years old, was abducted to Nanmusi Detention Center and was illegally sentenced to one year at a forced labor camp. After she was released they abducted her again to a brainwashing center in July 2002. Then they abducted her to a psychiatric hospital where she suffered more mistreatment. Ms He Xiaoqin refused to cooperate with the perpetrators and was released. Ms Liu Zhaoxiang, 63 years old, went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong twice. When the town officials abducted her, they beat her and detained her. One night in July 2002 many officials from the town government, "610 Office" of Pengzhou city, and policemen from Chengxi Police Station, abducted her. Liu Zhaoxiang held a hunger strike for one month. They sent her to a psychiatric hospital and force-fed her unknown drugs and food. When they force-fed her, they put the feeding tube in and took it out many times on purpose to torture her. The torture caused her to vomit blood non-stop. The officials of the "610 Office" cruelly beat her; they pulled out a clump of her hair, and they dragged her around on the floor tearing her clothes into pieces. Her teeth were knocked out, her body was swollen, and she lost the ability to take care of herself.

In February 2000 I was abducted by police officers from the Chuanshan Police Station in Suining City. In March 2000, Qi Chaojun from the Security Office of our company and police officers from Chuanshan Police Station came to my home late at night and abducted me to the police station. The company expelled me in June 2000. On June 25 2000 when I was doing the practice in the early morning with some other practitioners, the policemen from Chengnan Police Station abducted us. We were then transferred to Longping Town. To protest the persecution we held a hunger strike for 4 days. At about 9 a.m. on February 26, 2002 when I was getting a haircut, a gang of policemen abducted me. I called out loudly, "Falun Dafa is good" and explained the facts to them. Then I was sent to Lingquansi Detention Center and I held a hunger strike for 6 days. After that they transferred me to Beimen Detention Center, where I was beaten and detained for 38 days.

Since August 2004, officials from the "610 Office," National Security Brigade, and town governments have been abducting practitioners in Huaiyang County during the Zhoukou Cultural Festival. They ruthlessly broke into practitioners' homes and abducted practitioners. After the festival they abducted additional Falun Gong practitioners. So far 7 practitioners have been abducted. They are Lei Bangci, Li Ping, Yuan Huanyun, Lei Lianying, Zhu, Yuan Shuzhen, and Chen Guilan.

Ms. Yang Fulan, in her 40's, lives in Houcang Village of Xinbin County of Fushun City. She was sent to a detention center because she went to the town government to explain how good Falun Gong is and how Falun Gong helped improve her health and mentality. She was not released until her husband paid 6000 yuan. In the spring of the following year policemen started abducting practitioners again. The police searched for her everywhere. During the spring festival of 2004, the local police station sent over 10 policemen to her home to abduct her. The neighbors protected her. That forced the town governor to promise he would go to the police station and ask the police to stop abducting her. However, no more than a month later the police again abducted her to a brainwashing center. With no other choice her whole family left home. In October 2004 she came back home to harvest. On October 14, 2004 the police again abducted her .

Recently the people in South Korea are becoming more and more interested in Falun Gong. The news media are publishing more information about Falun Gong. South Korea is one of the countries with a very advanced Internet communications system. OHMAY NEWS and DAUM are two major Internet media. They published articles analyzing the reasons for the persecution of Falun Gong in China. The report listed very detailed opinions from researchers. They believe that Jiang Zemin's regime persecutes Falun Gong because Jiang Zemin envies Falun Gong and is afraid that Falun Gong threatens his power.
