(Clearwisdom.net) When I went to Beijing to appeal in November of 1999, I met an elderly lady accompanied by her two sons and a daughter, also on their way to appeal. I asked her how old she was, and she replied that she was 67. She said, "I was in very poor health once, but after practicing Falun Dafa, all my illnesses disappeared. My son also had illnesses, and we spent lots of money in hospitals to make him better, to no avail. After he started practicing Falun Dafa, his illnesses were cured. It was Dafa that gave us new life, so I feel obliged to speak fairly of it, to let the government leaders know about all of its benefits.
When we arrived at Tiananmen Square, police dispersed us immediately after we got out of the car. I was pushed onto a minibus. The elderly lady and her daughter were already on that bus. The police were beating us and cursing, trying to force the detainees to tell the police where they had come from. The lady did not say a word, and the police slapped her face. Her face was swollen as a result of the beatings.
Later, we were taken to an office, and I saw with my own eyes the brutality and madness of how the police were treating Falun Dafa practitioners. Whoever refused to tell the police where they were from would be beaten up. Some practitioners had a swollen mouth, some had their faces and eyes swollen up, and others had blood on their noses and faces.
Still later, I was sent to a police station and then escorted to jail in handcuffs. I did not know where the elderly lady and her daughter had been sent. I only learned later, from another practitioner, that the elderly lady had been taken away with nothing to eat and drink. On the way she was very hungry, but no one took care of her. She was later tortured to death near Tai'an. Her sons and daughter had been taken to jail. The daughter-in-law handled the funeral at her home, and the elderly lady's sons and daughter requested to go home to pay their last respects to their mother. This request was denied. The whole family was deeply grieved. The sons and the daughter were sentenced to imprisonment and forced labor, respectively. Through his terrible persecution, Jiang destroyed a perfectly happy family.
After I was imprisoned, the police forced me to write a "Repentance Statement" every day. I refused because I had done nothing wrong, and I would stick to the truth only.
I have two children. One was studying outside of town, and the other was working. The two of them went to the prison where I was being held, and circled the place with tears in their eyes because they were not allowed to visit me. Fan Enxue, from the police station where I was arrested, ordered the police guard who arranges family visits not to let my family come to visit me. Over my 28 days in prison, I was in solitary confinement for 24 days.
In prison I met fellow practitioner Zhang Changbao, who had gone to Beijing three times after July 20, 1999. His personal freedom was severely restricted, and he suffered from severe persecution. Both his wife and son were threatened, and he was tailed wherever he went. In 2000, Zhang Changbao was taken to a brainwashing session by force. A sum of 8,000 yuan1 was extorted from his family, under the pretense that it would pay for his release. However, on the third day, I was told that Zhang Changbao had been tortured to death.
It is hoped that those who know detailed information on these two cases would come forward.
