On the eve of the 2001 Spring Festival, 28 Falun Gong practitioners were detained at the Shandong Wucheng County Detention Center. Not long after, the Propaganda Department went to the detention center to spread lies and to slander Falun Dafa. The speech was broadcast over a speaker into the holding rooms where practitioners were being detained. At that time, practitioners did not know about sending forth righteous thoughts. Even so, every practitioner had the same thought: "We cannot let the evil slander Dafa." At that moment, several practitioners shouted, "What you say is wrong! You are slandering Falun Gong." After a while, the spokesman became silent. The slander stopped, and as the staff left, they carried the speaker out with them. Several female practitioners shouted, "Don't leave! We want to explain the truth to you." The staff members did not turn around and scurried out even faster. The other inmates in the jail discussed among themselves, "Falun Gong is really powerful. Today we have witnessed it."

In the autumn of 2000, a middle school in Gucheng City, Hebei Province held an assembly for 1,000 teachers and students to listen to the police department's slanderous "report" on Falun Dafa. A young Falun Gong practitioner, Fang Ni, who is only 14 years old, sent out a pure thought: "Make him be silent." That person only said one phrase: "Do not be superstitious to net... net bar," causing everyone to laugh. He could not say anything else and had to leave the stage.

In the Nanchang County Jail, in Jiangxi Province, the police are enticed to "transform" practitioners with a 5,000 yuan "bonus" that is awarded once the transformation is complete [500 yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China]. So, not only do the policemen torture Falun Gong practitioners, but they also force practitioners' relatives to "transform" practitioners using the threat that if the relative does not work with the police, they will not be allowed to come visit.

One day, the head of the police called the father of a certain practitioner. Unbeknownst to the police, the father is also a Falun Dafa practitioner. When he arrived at the jail, he stared straight at the policeman; this policeman did not dare meet his gaze and said, "Do not look at me. It is making me feel bad. It seems that your eyes are like two beams of light."

The evil fears everything that is righteous. We came to the understanding that we cannot ignore righteous thoughts. If we behave with righteous thoughts and righteous actions, the evil factors in other dimensions be completely eliminated.
