Austin, Texas: Dafa Practitioners Celebrate World Falun Dafa Day with a Series of Activities (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) As May 13, World Falun Dafa Day, approached, practitioners from Austin, Texas held a series activities to celebrate this most special day.
On May 10, a photo exhibit was held in the hallway of the State Capitol
Practitioners exhibited photo posters including the series, "Peaceful Journey of Falun Dafa" and the series, "Petals of Peace" to display Falun Dafa's worldwide spread and the facts of the persecution to state government officials, staff and tourists. The poster exhibit will last for a week.
On May 11, a Celebration was held to wish Teacher a Happy Birthday
The celebration was scheduled to begin at noon. In the morning, a heavy rainstorm started. Practitioners were not moved at all; instead, they maintained and strengthened their righteous thoughts. The downpour stopped around 11:30 a.m. and the activity was conducted as scheduled. Practitioners personally made a birthday card and extended their birthday greetings to Teacher with their most sincere hearts. They also displayed truth-clarifying posters and distributed flyers to introduce Dafa and explain the persecution to people.
On May 13, Practitioners Addressed the Austin City Council
On May 13, World Falun Dafa Day, practitioners described to the Mayor of Austin and other city council members and citizens the 12-year journey of Falun Dafa's worldwide spread, which has allowed millions of people the opportunity to improve their morality and their health. The practitioners also talked about the nearly five-year persecution of Falun Gong by Jiang and his followers. In addition, they presented each city government official a paper lotus flower to express gratitude for their persistent support of Falun Dafa and to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day.
