(Clearwisdom.net) On May 22 and 23, 2004, a health expo in Virginia Beach was held at the Pavilion Conference Center, Virginia Beach, Virginia. Falun Dafa practitioners in Virginia participated in the expo to introduced Falun Dafa to visitors and clarify the facts about the persecution. The expo visitors were generally interested in self-improvement of mind and body and thus had a natural interest in Falun Dafa.
On May 22, a Chinese woman came to our booth and asked why Jiang Zemin wanted to persecute Falun Gong. She said that she would like to understand it in depth. A Dafa practitioner handed to her some truth-clarification information and explained to her the wonderfulness of Falun Dafa and Jiang's brutal persecution of kind-hearted Dafa practitioners in China only because of his jealousy of Falun Dafa's popularity. The practitioner showed her the photos on a poster during the explanation and told her about the overseas lawsuits against Jiang for his crimes of torture, genocide, and crimes against humanity. The woman looked at the poster attentitively and said that she would watch the truth-clarification VCD and tell her family members about the true situation.
On May 23, a professor in philosophy from a nearby university came to our booth happily and said that he would like to learn Falun Gong. He said, "I have been very interested in self-improvement systems since a few years ago and have been looking for a good practice to improve my health in both mind and body. I have tried several systems, but haven't found one I like. Recently, I saw an introduction on Falun Dafa and became interested in the practice." A Dafa practitioner conversed to him about Falun Dafa and the persecution in China. He decided right away to participate in a Falun Dafa workshop to be held on the following Sunday.
During the expo, we also gave a lecture. Some predestined persons attended the Falun Gong lecture and learned the exercises. Many visitors were interested in Falun Gong and said that they would attend the workshop to be held on the following Sunday.
