At around 9:00 p.m. on June 8, Yu Shuping, head of the Political Security Section of the Shahe City Police Department in Hebei Province, led officers from the Baita Police Station and members of the Dukou Neighborhood Administration Office as they sneaked into Falun Dafa practitioner Fan Qingzhou's home. The officers had their guns drawn while carrying out the arrest, and they subsequently ransacked the home. The officers retrieved and wrote down all the numbers stored in Fan's cell phone.

On May 19, 2004, Qingyuan County Falun Dafa practitioner Yu Shiquan was arrested by officers from the Hongkuang Police Station in Fushun City, Liaoning Province. The officers ransacked Yu's home and confiscated Falun Dafa books, among other items. Yu is currently being unlawfully held at the Nangou Detention Center in Fushun City.

Mr. Wang Yongyan is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Nanzamu, Xinbin County. He was unlawfully sentenced to two years of forced labor for going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in 1999. His wife died from illness, and he has been working odd jobs to support himself and his two children. He was recently arrested while posting Falun Gong truth-clarifying signs along State Route 202. The night after he was arrested, police ransacked his home. Mr. Wang is being held at the Fushun City No. 1 Detention Center pending interrogation.

It has been reported that authorities at the Huludao Forced Labor Camp have been giving moldy food to Falun Dafa practitioners for a long time. As a result, many Falun Dafa practitioners have suffered from food poisoning, neuritis, and deteriorating eyesight.

Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Zhang Yulian and her daughter Zhao Li were arrested by officers from the Xiao County "610 Office" (1) for raising public awareness about the persecution against Falun Gong. They are currently being held at the Xiao County Detention Center.

Prior to this year's May 1^st Labor Day, at least five Falun Dafa practitioners at Suqiao Township in Xuchang County, Henan Province were arrested. Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Mingzhou's mother, who is in her sixties, started vomiting on the way to the detention center. Her blood pressure went up, her heartbeat accelerated, and she was having a medical emergency. The police were worried about being held responsible. They told her family to take her home. All other practitioners have been sent to either the Xuchang City Detention Center or the Xuchang County Detention Center.

Around 11:00 a.m. on April 23, 2004, two police vehicles sped to Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Gao Fengqin's rented room at Chenjiahe Village of the Tongji Neighborhood Administration in Jimo City. The officers ransacked Ms. Gao's place for over an hour and took her to the Louzitong Police Station in the Tongji Neighborhood Administration. Later Ms. Gao was transferred to the Jimo City Detention Center. Her physical condition deteriorated because of the inhumane treatment she received. On the morning of April 29, the Jimo City Police Department fabricated charges and sent her to the Dashan Detention Center in Jimo City.

Mr. Fang Shaoling is a Falun Dafa practitioner in Lingshan Town, Jimo City. Several days after the disappearance of his mother, Ms. Zhang Xiuying, around April 20, 2004, Mr. Fang was reported missing as well. It was verified later that Mr. Fang had been abducted by the Lingshan Town "610 Office." He is being held at the Jimo City Detention Center.

Linjiang City Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Mingzhi is being held at the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City. According to reports, he is suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis. The labor camp authorities demanded about 1,000 Yuan (2) to process Wang's medical parole. His father, Mr. Wang Shiqing, has lost sight in both of his eyes as a result of inhumane treatment in the same labor camp. In addition, he suffers from partial memory loss, mental impairment, and the inability to take care of himself on a daily basis.

In 2000, Wang Mingzhi went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and was escorted back to the Linjiang Detention Center. Wang was brutally beaten for doing Falun Gong exercises while in custody. Later, Wang left the detention center with dignity and went to Tiananmen Square to validate Falun Dafa again in 2002. Despite all sorts of torture received in the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp, Wang has maintained a righteous mind and done righteous deeds all the while.

Mr. Wang Wenfu, 53, lived in Lujiazhuang Village in Guangludian Town, Nanzhao County, Nanyang City, Henan Province. Around 5:00 a.m. on May 26, 2004, he was abducted by police officers from the Nanzhao County "610 Office." He has remained in the county detention center.

Mr. Hou Dongwei, 34, lives at No. 20 Qingping Township in Sheqi County, Nanyang City, Henan Province. He is a teacher in Tangzhuang Township. On the evening of April 23, 2004, officers from the Sheqi County "610 Office" climbed over the wall to enter his courtyard and arrested him for continuing to practice Falun Gong. Mr. Hou was dragged to the second floor in the county guesthouse, and unlawfully tortured and interrogated. Later, Mr. Hou escaped with righteous thoughts in mind. He has now been forced to stay away from his home and move from place to place to avoid continued persecution.

Zhangjiakou City Falun Dafa practitioners Ru Jianbin, Li Jun, and Zhao Wenlan have been unlawfully sentenced to 12 years, 11 years, and 10 years in prison, respectively. On April 24, 2004, Li Jun's family demanded a visit with Li but were told that the practitioners had been transferred elsewhere. Li's parents are in their seventies and became very aggravated. After doing everything they could, Li's family found out a month later that the practitioners are being held in Baoding Prison.
