1. [Sichuan Province] Lawless Officials from the Sichuan Province Difang Electric Power Bureau Persecute Falun Dafa Practitioners
Ms. Zhou Hanmei and Ms. Li Suqun are employees of the Sichuan Province Defang Electric Power Bureau. Informants turned them in to the police while they were raising public awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Zhou has been unlawfully sentenced to one year of forced labor, and Ms. Li to two years. In April 2004, Ms. Zhou returned home at the end of her forced labor term. Bureau leaders have been pressuring her to write guarantees not to practice Falun Gong and a self-criticism. Ms. Zhou refused, saying that there is nothing wrong with practicing Falun Dafa, and that she has not committed any crime. On June 15, 2004, bureau leaders conspired with the local police station and took her to a brainwashing unit. She still remains in custody.

2. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Tang Xiumei Held at Wangcun Forced Labor Camp
On April 24, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Tang Xiumei was arrested by state security officers in Weifang City, Shandong Province. She was taken to the Fangzi Detention Center, where she protested the unlawful arrest by going on a hunger strike. At the end of May, she was unlawfully sentenced to forced labor by the Fangzi Police Department. Her family has not heard anything from her. It was reported that until recently, Ms. Tang was on a hunger strike at the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp.
3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Police Guards at Longshan Forced Labor Camp Fabricate Lies to Deny Inhumanely Torturing Ms. Gao Rongrong
Ms. Gao Rongrong is a Falun Gong practitioner in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. She was inhumanely tortured in the Longshan Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City. She remains under surveillance in Room 0533 on the Fifth Floor of the No. 2 Orthopedic Section in the No. 1 Affiliated Hospital of China's Medical Science University. Officials from both the Longshan Forced Labor Camp and the Shenyang City Justice Bureau lied to the public that the bruises on Ms. Gao's face and body were due to injuries she sustained while falling down the stairs. The officials denied the fact that these were injuries inflicted by prison guard Tang Yubao, who tortured her with an electric baton. Ms. Gao has been disabled for over two months, and her condition has not improved.

On the morning of December 18, 2003, Dehui City Falun Dafa practitioner Zhang Xuedong was arrested by the city's Patrolling Brigade. According to a taxi driver at the scene, Zhang was surrounded and beaten by four officers led by Huang Junqing. After passing out, Zhang was placed under arrest by the officers.
5. [Dengfeng City, Henan Province] Police Arrest Falun Dafa Practitioner Wang Jianguo
Wang Jianguo is a Falun Dafa practitioner in Dengfeng City, Henan Province. On the evening of June 17, Wang was arrested by police in front of his home.
6. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Two Falun Dafa Practitioners Arrested and Fines Are Extorted from Their Families
On May 21, 2004, Xianning City Falun Dafa practitioners went to neighboring towns and townships to raise public awareness about the persecution against Falun Gong. They hung pre-printed banners on the major thoroughfares, which read "Jiang Zemin on Trial around the World," "Falun Dafa Is Good," and "Stiff Punishment for Luo Gan, Head of Terror." The practitioners also went to townships and villages to post self-adhesive signs and distribute leaflets that carried Falun Gong truth-clarifying messages. Patrolling officers spotted the practitioners. Two practitioners were arrested, but both were released ten days later. The local "610 Office" (1) and the political and judiciary committee extorted 2,000 to 3,000 yuan (2) cash fines from the practitioners' families.
7. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Xiaofeng, a Teacher at Chengdu Aviation and Technology School, Is Arrested
On the evening of June 14, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Xiaofeng, a teacher at Chengdu Aviation and Technology School, was arrested at her home by officers from the Dongquanyi District Police Department in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province.
8. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Su Chunxiu Arrested in May
At 9:00 p.m. on May 20, several officers led by Wu Wei of the No. 1 Section of the Shizhong Police Department in Leshan City, Sichuan Province, knocked on Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Su Chunxiu's door. The officers claimed that they were there to examine the gas supply. After getting inside, the officers confiscated Falun Dafa books and truth-clarifying materials. That same night, Ms. Su was abducted and taken to the Shawan District Prison in Leshan City. The next morning, Ms. Su started raising awareness of the persecution against Falun Gong among her cellmates. She shouted "Falun Dafa Is Good!" Officer He brutally beat her with an electric baton. Ms. Su subsequently went on a hunger strike protesting her unlawful arrest and demanding the return of her Falun Dafa books. She was released on June 5.
9. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Lawless Police Officers Arrest Falun Gong Practitioners
Over the past five years, at least 46 Falun Gong practitioners in Sanhe City, Hebei Province, have been unlawfully sent to forced labor camps. Recently, police officers in Sanhe City again arrested Falun Gong practitioners without presenting any legal documents or even wearing police uniforms.
On May 12 Guo Son, a teacher at the Sanhe City No. 10 Middle School was taken to the city's detention center, where Guo was held for over a month.
At 5:00 a.m. on May 24, Zhang Lixin of the Yanjiao No. 3 Railroad Bureau was arrested without cause, sentenced to forced labor and taken to a forced labor camp in Tangshan City, Hebei Province.
On May 26 Wang Zhanqing, a teacher at Niantou Middle School, was deceived into leaving the classroom in the middle of teaching. Wang was forcibly taken to the Langfang Brainwashing Unit.
On June 3 Ms. Gao Guiyun, an employee of the Gouyang Town Health Institute, was unlawfully arrested and sent to a forced labor camp in Tangshan City, Hebei Province.
On June 10 Ms. Li Xiumin of Liqizhuang Town was arrested. Her whereabouts are unknown.
On the morning of June 11, Ms. Tang Suhua of Huangzhuang Town was taken to the Langfang Brainwashing Unit.
