(Clearwisdom.net) In February of 2004, a fellow practitioner and I went to a neighboring county to deliver fact-clarification materials to a practitioner who has a small convenience store there. Two police officers noticed us. They took away the materials from my fellow practitioner and wanted to check our identity cards. They said if we could not produce the identity cards, they would take us with them. Right then and there I realized that I should absolutely not cooperate with the evil. I said, "A convenience store is a public area. It is our right to come or go! You do not have the authority to interfere!" Then I started walking to the door. The two police officers stepped forward to stop me. One policeman took out a cell phone to make a phone call. Then my fellow practitioner stepped up to stop the policeman from making that call. I sent forth righteous thoughts, willing his cell phone to malfunction, while walking towards the exit.
That policeman then stopped using his phone and tried to block us from going out, saying, "I am the police. Today you are not going anywhere." I said, "We must go and you cannot stop us!" Through our back and forth arguing, my fellow practitioner was able to walk away.
The two policemen then became frustrated and angry for not being able to arrest my fellow practitioner. They turned around, trying to nab me. I struggled hard and absolutely refused to go with them. At that moment, the local practitioner's husband came back from work. When he saw the scene, he and his wife tried to stop the police. With their help I was able to get away. Since I was not familiar with the area, I found myself in a dead end. It had snowed the day before and my footprints were easy to see. If I turned back, the police would likely catch up with me. Then I jumped into a family's yard and entered a storage room, sitting down to send forth righteous thoughts. As expected, the police quickly followed and I heard a police siren nearby. They had mobilized a lot of manpower. I could hear that they wanted to search door to door.
I heard footsteps in the snow at the back of the house. When that person got close, I noticed that it was the plainclothes policeman who was trying to get to me. He opened one storage room and closed the door after he did not see anyone in there. He then walked towards my hiding place. I immediately sent forth righteous thoughts, "Today I will not accept anyone's arrangement. I only follow Master's arranged path. I want to fulfill my historic duty, do what Dafa disciples are supposed to do and not let the evildoers see me." At this crucial moment, my mind did not have any room for me to think of anything else. I was also not afraid, completely rejecting the old forces' arrangements. Then I saw the plainclothes policeman entering the storage room and search around near me, but he just could not see me and left in frustration.
The old forces still did not want to give up. The woman of the household now entered the storage room. I once again sent forth righteous thoughts, thinking, "Don't let her see me." She indeed could not see me! The evil forces repeatedly injected bad thoughts into my mind, "You cannot get away today; you will be sentenced and sent to labor camp," and other nonsense. I immediately sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate these bad thoughts. "Teacher did not arrange this, and I do not want it either." In a while, more policemen entered the family compound asking, "Did you see a female Falun Gong practitioner entering your home? We followed her footprints here." Then I saw someone walking towards the storage room. At that moment I was not afraid, nor did I get anxious, but sent forth righteous thoughts, completely eliminating the old forces' arrangements. I heard the woman say, "Those were my footprints. I left them when I went out grocery shopping."
In this way I escaped from the evil's chase and went back to the current of Fa-rectification.
