(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Shi Tiejun lived in Liuxian Village, Sheli Township, Acheng City, Heilongjiang Province. In February 1999, he began practicing Falun Gong and benefited tremendously.

On July 20, 1999, Jiang started the persecution against Falun Gong. Shi Tiejun clarified the truth to people and was persecuted.

In October 2000, he went to Beijing to appeal. He was arrested upon his arrival at the Appeals Office. The police forbade him to speak, notified Sheli Township's Police Station officials and told them to take him back. They sent him to the No. 2 Detention Center in Acheng City, accused him of "disturbing the social order" and released him 20 days later.

After he returned home, he learned the police from Sheli Township's Police Station harassed his family numerous times during his detention. They also threatened his parents, "Pay us, or we'll send your son to a labor camp!" His parents were petrified. His father borrowed 4,000 Yuan and paid the perpetrators so they would release Shi Tiejun. His family later went back to the police station and tried to get the money back. The authorities said, "We don't have the money now; maybe later."

During Mr. Shi's detention, Lu Zhongwei, head of Liuxian Village, led officials from the Sheli township government and went to Shi Tiejun's home numerous times, trying to extort money. On the second day after Shi Tiejun returned home, Lu Zhongwei, the township official and Cao Lijun, head of the police station, broke into Shi Tiejun's home and demanded 2,000 Yuan, claiming it was to cover the cost incurred in picking up Shi Tiejun and his wife in Beijing. Shi Tiejun's family was destitute at this point. His family said, "We really have no money." The authorities replied, "Don't you have corn?" In order to spare Shi Tiejun from being arrested, the family let the officials take away the corn harvest, which was what the family would eat for the whole year and was also their only source of income. Shi Tiejun's mother cried and said, "Please, leave some for us, because we don't have any food for the winter!" The perpetrators left a few bags of corn.

Soon after Shi Tiejun had been home, Cao Lijun and others arrested him. Wang Hongda, head of the police station, led other officers. They ransacked his home and took several Dafa books and audiocassettes. Many villagers witnessed the chaos and the police again sent Shi Tiejun and his wife to the No. 2 Detention Center in Acheng City on the charge of "disturbing the social order."

They were held from before the Chinese New Year [around January and February] to April 5, 2001, then transferred them to a brainwashing class held by the "610 Office" and the judicial and public prosecutor's office.

Forty to fifty Dafa practitioners were confined in this brainwashing center. Among them were farmers, university students, factory workers and government officials. Some were teenage girls and some were elderly. Several mothers were held along with their sons, as were brothers and sisters. There were also eight couples. The perpetrators demanded a 1,000-Yuan "education fee" from each practitioner. Those who could not afford it had their work unit ordered to pay the fee. The farmers' cooperative paid for it and the perpetrators squandered the extorted money. During the day, they made the practitioners do exercises and watch Dafa-slandering videos, and in the evening they forced the practitioners to watch Dafa-slandering TV programs such as Focal Point. Before dawn each day, they forced the practitioners to gather on the drilling ground and do exercises, including squatting and standing alternately 100 times. All the practitioners had sore muscles at the end of the day.

In April 2001, Shi Tiejun was sentenced to one year of forced labor, to be served at the Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp. Shi Tiejun was sent to Division Four where he was brutally tortured. Because of the labor camp's extremely unsanitary environment, many practitioners developed scabies and suffered from unbearable itching and pain, preventing them from sleeping. Practitioner Zhang Lin had two teeth knocked out and the beatings severely injured one of his eyes. He lost partial sight in that eye. Practitioner Ren Zhongde from Xiaoling, Acheng City was injured from beating and consequently had several bumps on his head. Three perpetrators pinned Shi Tiejun to the floor and wouldn't let him get up. After the beating, the perpetrators tied seven or eight practitioners' hands and feet with ropes, and criminal inmates dragged the practitioners together by their feet. Some practitioners' clothes on their backs were torn. Practitioner Yi Anbang, a political and Law department teacher at a university in Harbin City was severely beaten. Shi Changjing, the head of the labor camp, ordered the practitioners to be detained in solitary confinement cells. In 2002, Shi Tiejun was unconditionally released.

This year, on August 15, 2004, more than 20 practitioners in Acheng City were arrested.

On the evening of August 15, 2004, Shi Tiejun and fellow practitioners went to Xiaoling Town to distribute truth clarification materials and were reported. The police and perpetrators from the Acheng City Police Department and "610 Office" arrested them and held them at the No. 1 Detention Center in Acheng City. The next day, the police went to his home and ransacked it while Shi Tiejun's wife, daughter, son and parents were home.

The persecution of the other practitioners arrested on August 15, 2004 is as following:

Wang Dechen lived in Xinhua Town, Acheng City and had worked at Xinhua Town's Animal Husbandry Station. He originally suffered from headaches, which could not be cured. The headache disappeared after he practiced Falun Gong, and he experienced the wonders of Dafa.

After July 20, 1999, the perpetrators from the town government and the police department often harassed him, trying to force him to write Guarantee Statements to give up his Dafa practice.

On February 17, 2001, perpetrators from Xinhua Town government and police department arrested Wang Dechen and sent him to the Yagou Brainwashing Class. He has since been released.

In the evening of August 15, 2004, Wang Dechen and fellow practitioners drove to Xiaoling Town to clarify the truth and were reported. They were arrested, interrogated and tortured at the Acheng City Police Department.

Zhang Guangli lived in Qianjin Village in Juyuan Town, Acheng City, Heilongjiang Province. He was sickly as a child, and at age ten nearly died from tuberculosis. He had to take injections and medications every year. After he started to gambling and drinking, he grew increasingly weak.

In November 1997, he learned Falun Gong and Dafa gave him a new life. Through Dafa practice he became healthy and got rid of his bad habits, including gambling and drinking. He learned the true meaning of life.

On July 22, 1999, Zhang Guangli went to the provincial government to appeal. After his return, Wu Guoyi, secretary of Juyuan Town's Party Committee, Cao Yun, secretary of the Political and Judiciary Committee, Wang Xiaoguang, an officer, Tao Xiangrong, head of the police station, Gong He from the Politics Committee and others persecuted him. They tailed him, monitored him, restricted his personal freedom, threatened and deceived him.

On November 26, 2000, Zhang Guangli went to Beijing to appeal. He was arrested by Beijing police and held at Qianmen Police Station. Because he refused to tell his name, he was sent to Daxing County's Detention Center and extorted 100 Yuan. The inmates poured water on him until he was soaked, and then they hit him. After being held at Daxing County's Detention Center for one week, the authorities at the Heilongjiang Province liaison office in Beijing ordered the local government to take Zhang Guangli back. They slapped him and tried to "reform" him but failed, so they held him at the No. 2 Detention Center in Acheng City for 15 days and extorted between 2,000 Yuan and 3,000 Yuan from him.

On February 2, 2001, Tao Xiangrong, head of Juyuan Police Station and police officer Yan Wei tricked Zhang Guangli to come to the police station, saying they wanted him to watch a video on the Tiananmen Self-immolation Case for two hours, after which they would release him. Once there, however, they ordered him to write a Guarantee Statement and Zhang Guangli refused. They sent him to Acheng City's Detention Center to further persecute him. After 53 days of illegal detention, they transferred him to Acheng City's Brainwashing Class. Because he persisted in Dafa practice and refused to write a Guarantee Statement at the brainwashing class, he was sent back to Acheng City's Detention Center after 38 days. On July 5 he was sentenced to one year of forced labor and was sent to the Group Drill Division at the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp. After 20 days he was sent to Division Five of the Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp for intensified persecution. Because of the terrible, sub-standard hygiene conditions at the labor camp, almost all Dafa practitioners held there developed scabies. They were also very weak from torture. Zhang Guangli lost consciousness twice. The practitioners held numerous hunger strikes to protest the persecution. The labor camp authorities force-fed the practitioners, detained them in solitary confinement cells, tortured them with Iron Chair (1) and illegally extended their terms.

In September 2003, officials from the Acheng City "610 Office" and the township police station again went to Zhang Guangli's home in an attempt to arrest him but failed. Zhang Guangli left home and went into exile. During the 2004 Chinese New Year Zhang Guangli went home to his family.

Around 1:00 p.m. on February 9, 2004, Wu Da and Lin Peng, deputy heads from Acheng City "610 Office," a section head from Acheng City's Police Department and three police officers as well as Qiao Tianqi, secretary of Juyuan Town's Political and Judiciary Committee, Zhang Yongyan, head of Juyuan Town's "610 Office" and Zhang Zhiyuan from the Juyuan Town Police Station went to Zhang Guangli's home trying to arrest him. Zhang's family and fellow villagers stopped them and Zhang Guangli was compelled to leave home.

Zhang Guangli's father, Zhang Qingwen, is 62 years old. He benefited from practicing Falun Gong. Zhang Qingwen was arrested twice and held at Acheng City Detention Center and was twice sent to a brainwashing class for practicing Falun Gong.

In the evening of August 15, 2004, Zhang Guangli and his father went to Xiaoling Town to distribute truth clarification materials and were arrested. They are being held at the No. 1 and No. 2 Detention Center in Acheng City.

Fu Yuhua is a practitioner from Acheng City, Heilongjiang Province. She obtained the Fa in 1998 and recovered her health. On August 15, 2004, she was reported and arrested when distributing truth clarification materials in Xiaoling Town and is now being held at the No. 2 Detention Center in Acheng City.

Dong Wenling began practicing Falun Dafa in 1998. She was very kind and was well liked by her colleagues. On August 15 she was arrested while distributing truth clarification materials in Xiaoling Town and is now being held at the No. 2 Detention Center in Acheng City.
