Taiwan: Photo Exhibition "Falun Dafa Practitioners Validating the Fa" Comes to National Chung Cheng University (Photos)

Nov. 17, 2005 |   By a practitioner from Taiwan

(Clearwisdom.net) From November 1-5, 2005, a touring photo exhibition, "Falun Dafa Practitioners Validating the Fa," came to the National Chung Cheng University Student Center. The exhibition is currently being shown at a number of colleges and universities in Taiwan. The purpose of the exhibition is to let the public know more about Falun Dafa and to help them learn the truth about the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong, so as to encourage people to work together to end the persecution. At the exhibition, there was also a signature drive to support the rescue of Falun Gong orphans in China.

A Falun Gong practitioner explained that in the 13 years since Master Li Hongzhi introduced Falun Gong to the public, over 100 million people have learned this cultivation practice. Due to his jealousy, former Chinese Communist Party leader Jiang Zemin could not tolerate so many people believing in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," and therefore started the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in 1999.

There were over 70 photos in this exhibition. They displayed the beauty of Falun Dafa, the six years of Falun Gong practitioners' peaceful anti-persecution efforts and of clarifying the truth to the world and upholding justice. The photos documented the uncompromising courage and persistence of practitioners both inside and outside of China in upholding their beliefs.

Some visitors were shocked when they learned about the cruelty of the persecution. Some students said, "The Chinese Communist Party treats its people so badly!" Some said, "How can they torture a person like this. This is inhuman." Many students encouraged the practitioners, saying, "You've been working hard! Hang in there!"

At the exhibit, people learned that a large number of children in China have been persecuted in many ways, including being expelled from school, driven out of their homes and being discriminated against because their parents practice Falun Gong. Some children have lost both parents at very young age. Many teachers and students at the exhibition signed their names on postcards addressed to American President Bush, asking him to raise the issue of human rights during his upcoming visit to China and to help rescue the Falun Gong orphans in China.

The photo exhibition tour in Taiwan was separated into two sections, one for colleges and universities and one for the general public. The exhibition at National Chung Cheng University was one more stop on the tour after Huey Deng High School, National Ilan Commercial Vocational High School and National Lotung Industrial Vocational High School in Ilan, Pingdong University of Education, Kaohsiung First College of Technology, Chung Shan University, National Cheng Kung University, and Yongguang Agricultural Center at Yunlin. This exhibition is not only being shown in Taiwan but also in many other countries around the world.
