1.News from the Dehui City (Jilin Province) Detention Center
A few days ago, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Sun Dawei was transported from the detention center to the Dehui City Chinese Medicine Hospital for suturing of two lacerations of his head, which was caused by beatings from a guard. Practitioner Ms. Ma Chunli has been on a hunger strike for one month to protest the persecution at the detention center. She was force-fed every day and her situation is critical. Practitioner Mr. Sun Dawei and other practitioners were abducted by the authorities at Tienan, Dehui City on December 14, 2004. Practitioner Mr. Zhu Guoyou from the Tienan County and practitioner Mr. Sun Changsheng from the Dehui City Dahua Factory are still being held at the detention center. Since his arrival, Mr. Sun Changsheng has been on a hunger strike. Authorities tried to send him to the labor camp on two occasions, but he was not accepted due to his poor health status. To force a confession from him, police cruelly tortured practitioner Mr. Zhu Guoyou. Following his kidnapping he was interrogated several times and severely beaten by the guards.

2. Persecution Experiences of Taian (Shandong Province) Practitioner Ms. Yan Ting
For many years, 25-year-old practitioner Ms. Yan Ting lived in the worker staff dormitory of Taian Taishan Beer Company, Ltd. with her parents. Several times she was abducted to detention centers and brainwashing centers and persecuted by the police from Hubei Province. This occurred even when she was a student at Hubei University. In 2000, she was sentenced to a year and half of "re-education through forced labor" in the Wuhan City Shizishan Forced Labor Camp. Policeman Zhang Shixiong from the Ezhou City (Hubei Province) Phoenix Police Station came to her parents' home in Taian and stayed there for some time during the period of Ms. Yan's imprisonment. He took advantage of Ms. Yan's parents, using any excuse, and even insisted a family member go with him to Tai Mountain to "have fun." His behavior was just like that of a criminal. On October 28, 2003, while she was clarifying the facts about Falun Gong in Feicheng, Ms. Yan Ting was again kidnapped and sent to Feicheng Detention Center by the police She went on a hunger strike and 22 days later, she walked out of there as a result of righteous thoughts. At 10 a.m., on November 24, 2003, Ms. Yan Ting and her mother were walking on the road outside their dormitory. Ms. Yan was abducted by the police from the Xujialou Police Station and taken to the Shandong Province First Women's Forced Labor Camp where she was sentenced to two years of "re-education through forced labor."
