1. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Song Xinshuang, Father of Incarcerated Practitioner Song Yan, Died of Heart Disease
Mr. Song Xinshuang, 65 years old, was from Mudanjiang city. On the night of November 27, 2004, police from the Mudanjiang police department arrested Mr. Song Xinshuang's son, Mr. Song Yan (a Falun Dafa practitioner). Mr. Song Xinshuang brought clothes to the detention center to give to his son, and asked to see him. Police officers refused and insulted him at the same time. The elderly man was deeply distressed, had a deep heartache and became ill from acute heart disease. On March 20, 2005, less than four months after his son's arrest, he died of heart disease.
2. [Chongqing City] Practitioner Mr. Huang Cheng is Suffering from a Bone Tumor
Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Huang Cheng is 30 years old and a former employee of the Shapingba Electricity Division. In July 2000, he was arrested for practicing Falun Dafa, fired from his job and taken to a brainwashing center where he was tortured.
In early 2001, Mr. Huang went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Dafa. He was arrested, and sent to the Xishanping Forced Labor Camp in Chongqing. During the second half of 2002, Mr. Huang was sentenced to 7 years of forced labor, and detained at the Fifth Brigade of the Second Prison of Chongqing City. He was brutally tortured. Now, a bone tumor has been discovered in his spine. His family requested a medical release for Mr. Huang. However, the labor camp refuses to grant him the medical release.

3. [Faku County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ma Yingjun and Ms. Ma Yingchun Arrested
Ms. Ma Yingjun and Ms. Ma Yingchun are residents of Woniushi Township. Li Yali reported them to the police when they were distributing truth-clarifying materials at Mazipao Village in Woniushi Township. That evening, the police head, Chen Guangou, detained and tortured them at the Woniushi Township Police Station. Ma Yingjun and Ma Yingchun are presently detained at the Sujiatun Detention Center in Shenyang City.

4. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Cong Yuying Again Sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Cong Yuying is a resident of Yingkou City. On the evening of March 8, 2005, she took a taxi to her brother's home. In the taxi, she told the driver, "Falun Dafa is good" and gave the driver truth clarifying materials. The driver reported her to the nearby Shengli Police Station. Police officers waited in front of her brother's door and arrested her as soon as she arrived. Ms. Cong was detained at the Shengli Police Station for a night and then taken to a detention center the second day. After she went on a four-day hunger strike in protest of her illegal arrest, a physical check-up found that she suffered from low blood pressure. This is the second time Ms. Cong was sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. She was previously there for one year.
5. [Sichuan Province] Ms. Jiang Zhifang Still Being Tortured at the Nanmusi Women's Forced Labor Camp
For seven years before she started practicing Falun Gong, Ms. Jiang Zhifang suffered from rheumatic pains. She could not afford medical treatment and was dying. During that time, someone told her about Falun Gong. After only one week of practicing Falun Gong, Ms. Jiang could once again do family chores. After two to three months of practice, she completely regained her health. As a Falun Dafa practitioner, Ms. Jiang began telling people that Falun Dafa is good, and openly shared her personal experiences. Therefore, at 7 p.m. on February 26, 2004, police officers from the Shifang City Police Station arrested her. Police from Mianshang Police Station, Shifang City took her to the 7th Group at Nanmusi Women's Detention Center in Zizhong County. Jiang Zhifang is still detained there and is still being tortured for her belief.

6. [Huaihua, Hunan Province] Mr. Yang Shengxin and Others Were Arrested in February
Around February 21, 2005, several Falun Dafa practitioners were arrested. Eight from Hecheng District were detained at the City's Second Detention Center. Six of the practitioners' names are known: Mr. Yang Shengxin (from the Statistics Bureau), Ms. Deng Zhengrong (from the Auditing and Planning Bureau), Mr. Teng Yun, Ms. Li Baoxin (self-employed), Ms. Lie Tiemei and Ms. Yi Chunxiu (business owner). Ms. Li Baoxin lived in the compound of the Hecheng District Government. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Dafa books, a PC and her child's belongings. A plainclothes policeman tricked Ms. Li into admitting that she wanted to learn how to use a computer. Concluding that she intended to make truth-clarification materials, he arrested her. Witnesses reported that Yang Shengxin and Deng Zhengrong were arrested at their work. Seven to eight police vehicles stood outside the building. Over ten people took Ms. Li away. Mr. Teng Yun became homeless to avoid being captured and tortured. He is on the police "wanted" list.
7. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Were Arrested in March
On March 21, 2005, three Falun Dafa practitioners including Wang Shaoming, and Ms. Chen Zhaofen from Xichang City clarified the truth about Falun Dafa in Gaoshi Township. Someone reported them. Police officers from the Chuanxin Police station and Xichang City arrested them and unlawfully ransacked their homes. The practitioners are presently detained at the Tuohuang Detention Center.

8. [Liaoning Province] Several Practitioners in Dalian City Were Arrested
At around 8 p.m. on March 16, 2005, Mr. Li Jide from Lijia Village, Haizheng Township, Ms. Wang Lianxiang, Ms. Zhou Chunguang from the Beihai Township, Lushunkou District, Ms. Zhang Guixiang, and Ms. Liu Renpu from the Houshabao Village of Beihai Township distributed Falun Dafa truth-clarification materials in Shuangdao Township and Jiangxi Township. They were reported to the police. Therefore, that night, Ms. Liu Renpu, around 60 years old, was arrested at home. The others escaped. At about 1 p.m. on March 17, Ms. Zhang Guixiang and Mr. Li Jide were arrested. At about 1 p.m. on March 18, Ms. Wang Lianxiang and Ms. Zhou Chunguang were arrested.
9. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Doctor Wang from Zhenping County Was Arrested
Doctor Wang clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to students at the Second Junior High School of Zhenping County. The school suspended him for two days. After two days, staff from the Chengguan Township "610 Office" arrested him and took him to the Zhenping Detention Center.
10. [Henan Province] Mr. Liu Qingchen Became Homeless to Avoid Capture and Torture. His Wife Was Arrested
Mr. Liu Qingchen, 41 years old, is a resident of Yangying Village, Huangzhai Township, Shangshui County. In August 2001, he printed Falun Dafa truth clarifying materials. Police officer Gao Feng from Zhoukou City and Zhu Congshang from Shangshui County arrested him at his home. He was detained at the Zhoukou City Detention Center for 42 days. He was released after his family paid a fine of over 10,000 yuan. On September 27, 2001, police officer Ma Liuhe from the Shangshui County Police Department, and Zeng Chao from the Huangzhai Township Police Station arrested Mr. Liu again and detained him at the Shangshui Detention Center for half a year. They extorted over 20,000 yuan from his family. Because of having to pay such large "fines," his family is deeply in debt. In July 2002, Liu Qingchen and his wife had to work at the Xiangcheng City Farm Market loading and unloading vehicles, to make a living.
At about 9 p.m. on February 24, 2005, police from Xiangcheng City captured Mr. Liu and his wife while they were moving a printer and some truth clarification materials. Mr. Liu escaped, but his wife, Ms. Zhao Wenying, was arrested and detained at the Xiangcheng City Detention Center. Police confiscated at least 500 yuan in cash, CDs, a video CD player, a cellular phone, charger, batteries, and other items. Now Ms. Zhao is still detained and Mr. Liu has become homeless to avoid being captured and tortured.
11. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Including Ms. Gao Yuqing Were Arrested
At 8 p.m. on March 19, 2005, police officers from the Dakouqing Police Station and the Longtan District Police Department came to Ms. Gao Yuqing's home in Huashu Village, Longtan District. They arrested Ms. Gao, Ms. Xu Guiying and another practitioner with the name of Wang. The three were studying Falun Dafa at Gao's home. Police officers searched Ms. Gao's home and took away Falun Dafa books and other related materials. All three are now detained at the Third Detention Center. Ms. Gao had suffered from late-stage cancer and was bedridden before she practiced Falun Dafa. She was unable to take care of herself at that time, but became free of illness soon after she started practicing.
12. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Mr. Liu Ronghua Was Arrested Again
Mr. Liu Ronghua, 57 year old, lives at Huoxing Township, Furong District, Changsha City. The Furong District "610 Office" staff detained him and took him to a brainwashing center. He remained firm in his belief in Falun Dafa. Therefore, he was sent to the Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp and was released in November 2004. In mid-March, 2005, Mr. Liu was arrested again. His current situation is unknown.
13. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Sun Jinkui and Others Sentenced to Prison Terms
Mr. Sun Jinkui, Mr. Zhang Yuezeng and his wife were recently sentenced to prison terms. Mr. Zhang was sentenced to an 8-year term, and his wife to a 6-year term. Mr. Sun was sentenced to a 7-year term.
14. [Beijing City] Ms. Xu Yongxiu Was Arrested in March
Ms. Xu Yongxiu is an employee of the Yanjiao Machinery Factory, owned by the Capital Steel Company. On March 21, 2005, Beijing police arrested her in Beijing City where she was distributing truth-clarification flyers. Her whereabouts are not known.
15. [Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Jing Was Arrested in March
On the morning of March 20, 2005, police officers from Shenyang City and the Dongnan Street Police Station, Xinmin District arrested Ms. Wang Jing at home. Ms. Wang is detained at the Sujiatun Detention Center, Shenyang City.
16. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Xudong Was Arrested in March
Mr. Wang is a resident of Buliu Township, Rongcheng City. At 10 a.m. on March 15, 2005, he delivered Falun Dafa truth materials to Weihai City on a motorcycle. The Weihai Transportation Police stopped and searched him. After police officers found the truth clarification materials, they asked Mr. Wang if he had officially withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) or the Youth League. They then arrested him and his whereabouts are unknown. That evening, local police officers searched his home. At about 1 p.m. on March 18, Xun Jianping - head of the Ronfcheng City "610 office" - and others searched Mr. Wang's home again.

17. [Anqiu City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Were Arrested
At 6 a.m. on March 15, 2005, Yang - the head of the Shidui Police Station - and 5 to 6 police officers broke into Mr. Wang Erde's home. They confiscated Falun Dafa books, truth clarification materials, two cassette players, 1,000 yuan and two pension cards. They handcuffed Mr. Wang who is in his 70s and took him to the Shidui Police Station. At the Shidiu Police Station, they handcuffed Mr. Wang to a radiator for longer than half a day. At 4 p.m., they sent Mr. Wang to the Anqiu Detention Center, which refused to accept him. The police finally released him. The second day, when Mr. Wang went to the police station to ask for his property, money and pension cards, the police head cursed at him.
At 7 a.m. on March 15, leader Jia Baocheng of Jiaguo Township and 5 or 6 police officers came to Ms. Ma Ailing's home. They broke into her house, confiscated the Falun Dafa books and materials, and arrested Ms. Ma. They took her to the Anqiu City Detention Center.
At 10 a.m. that day, 5 to 6 police officers from the Dongguan Police Station broke into Mr. Wang Haiqing's home. They confiscated his Falun Dafa books and a 550 yuan cassette player, but they could not find Mr. Wang. The second day at 7 a.m., the police came again to arrest Mr. Wang. To avoid being captured and tortured, Mr. Wang left his home and became homeless.
On March 15, the head of the Wangjiazhuangzi police station and 4 to 5 police officers came to Mr. Shu Xiaoyou and Ms. Zhou Shufen's home. They confiscated Falun Dafa books and other materials and arrested Mr. Shu and Ms. Zhou. Then they went to the home of Ms. Shu Baoli, their third daughter. They searched her home and also arrested her. Because of practicing Falun Dafa, their second daughter was detained in a forced labor camp for three years. After being released, she no longer dared to practice Falun Gong. They still searched her home. Mr. Shu Xiaoyou's eldest daughter was tortured to death for practicing Falun Gong.

20. [Shahe City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Bin, Mr. Fan Qingzhou and Others Were Arrested
In late February 2005, four to five practitioners, including Mr. Li Bin and Mr. Fan Qingzhou, were arrested. They are still detained.
21. [Yuzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Bao Aizhi Was Arrested in March
On March 16, police officers arrested Ms. Bao Aizhi of Yuzhou City, without due cause.
22. [Yuzhou City, Henan Province] Mr. Wang Hongwei Is Still Illegally Detained at the Yuzhou City Detention Center
Mr. Wang Hongwei is in his 30s. Just before the 2005 Chinese New Year, police officers from the Yuzhou City Police Department followed and arrested him. The police ransacked and burglarized his home. His wife and 5-year old son were also taken to the police station that day. The grandfather picked up the small son on the second day, but Mr. Wang's wife was detained for one month and only released through her family member's efforts. Mr. Wang is stilled detained and is being tortured at the Yuzhou City Detention Center.
23. [Xuchang City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhang Peisheng Is Facing a Second Sentence
Ms. Zhang is 41 years old. In 2000, she was sentenced to a three-year prison term for distributing truth-clarification materials. She was detained at the Xinxiang Women's Prison and released after some time. In October 2004, police officers from the Weidu District Police Station arrested Ms. Zhang again. She is currently detained at the Xuchang City Detention Center. Because she went on a hunger strike in protest of the illegal arrest and detention, the guards force-fed her. She was also shackled while she was incarcerated. Now the authorities are threatening to sentence Ms. Zhang to another prison term.
24. [Xuchang, Henan Province] Mr. Chen Zhanyong Was Brutally Tortured and Released
Mr. Chen Zhanyong is 29 years old. On March 23, 2005, police officers from the Weidu District Police Station arrested him and his wife when they were clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa. Mr. Chen's wife was released, as their child was only a few months old. Mr. Chen, after being detained at Xucheng Detention Center for one month, was sentenced to one year and nine months of forced labor. They took him to the 3rd Forced Labor Camp of Xuchang City. The camp refused to take him because he had been so severely tortured that he was very ill. Yet, police officers Miao Zhongkai, Li Hongwei and Sun Lina still did not release him. They asked Mr. Chen's family to pay a fine. Mr. Chen's family refused. Finally, Mr. Chen was released.
In 1999, just because of his firm belief in Falun Dafa, the Xuchang City Police Department arrested Mr. Chen and sentenced him to three years of forced labor. He was detained at the 3rd Forced Labor Camp of Xuchang City.
25. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhou Liyu, an Employee of the Hubei Province Chinese Medical Research Institute, Was Arrested
Police officers recently arrested Ms. Zhou Liyu of the Chinese Medicine Research Institute. They took him to the Tangxunhu Forced Brainwashing Center where he is being tortured.
26. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Mengyin Was Tortured to the Verge of Death at the First Detention Center
On March 9, 2005, police officers from the Guoyuan Township Police Station, Lubei District, Tangshan City arrested Tangshan City resident Mr. Zhang Mengyin. He is detained at the First Detention Center of Tangshan City. Mr. Zhang has been on a hunger strike for more than ten days and his life is in immediate danger. Zhang Mengyin should be released immediately.
27. [Lenshuijiang City, Hunan Province] Disabled Mr. Liu Yanli Was Sentenced to One and a Half Years in a Forced Labor Camp
Rumors from the Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp are that retiree Mr. Liu Yanli from Lenshuijiang City has been detained at the camp for a one-and-a-half-year term because of his firm belief in Falun Dafa. Mr. Liu is disabled due to torture and has lost two fingers on one of his hands.
28. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Xie Wenxin Was Arrested
Ms. Xie is about 60 years old. She is from the Haizhu District. On March 3, 2005, the Haizhu District "610 Office" arrested her at her home. She was first detained at the Haizhu District Detention Center for 8 days and then on the 9th floor of the Heguirong Welfare Center, on south Guangzhou Street. The Haizhu District Legal Education School is there.
29. [Yunnan Province] Ms. Wang Dexian Was Arrested
Ms. Wang is a resident from the Xiayuanliang Group, Baideng Village, Anning County. She was born in 1960. She recently visited her relatives in Luxi County, where she clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to people there. She returned home safely after the visit. Around 7 p.m. on March 14, Ms. Wang was arrested at her home and taken to the Majie Police Station because someone from Luxi County had reported her. After about two hours, she was sent to the Dongfeng Police Station, where she was detained until 5 p.m. the next day. Then, police officers from Luxi County arrested Ms. Wang and took her to Luxi. Her current situation is unknown.
30. [Haiyang City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners from Guocheng Township Were Arrested in March
On March 5, 2005, the Haiyang City "610 Office" arrested Mr. Gong Zaisheng, Mr. Jiang Ruisi, Ms. Jiang Yuexiang, and an unnamed practitioner at their home. The four are residents of Sanjiaoyaxia Village, Guocheng Township, Haiyang City.
