Gao Rongrong was brutally tortured by means of electric baton on May 7, 2004. Her face was severely burnt and disfigured from the torture. The photos were taken ten days after the torture.
  During the evening of May 7, 2005, after suffering repeated electric baton shock tortures for some seven hours, Gao Rongrong jumped from the 2nd floor window of the prison police office. The doctor diagnosed that she sustained two fractures on her pelvis, her left leg was severely fractured and her right heel was broken. |
