Anti-persecution exhibit exposes the persecution
On August 12, 2005, the World Track and Field Games were held in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. For the benefit of tourists and media from around the world, Falun Gong practitioners from Finland, Latvia, Sweden and Norway came to Helsinki City Center Park and reenacted torture methods used on Falun Gong practitioners in China. They exposed Jiang and the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) six-year brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, who follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The practitioners called for people with conscience to join them to stop the persecution.
During the World Track and Field Games, tourists in Helsinki came in streams. There were five to six kinds of performances held in the park. Falun Gong practitioners' demonstration site was right in the center of the park. The shocking simulated torture methods display and peaceful exercise demonstration attracted a large number of tourists to stop and look.

As soon as people saw the simulated torture display, they were astonished. Some asked questions, some hurriedly went to look at display boards, and many tourists took photos. Through these photos, Jiang and the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong will be spread more widely.

One lady shed tears while looking at the torture display. A man beside her tried to pull her to leave, but she directly walked over to the table where signatures were collected to call for an end to the persecution and signed her name. The man also signed his name.

Candlelight Vigil for Murdered Falun Gong Practitioners
On August 13, 2005, the World Track and Field Championships were coming to an end. Although it was getting dark, traffic was still heavy on the streets. Having hung a banner reading "Falun Gong is good," and erected exhibition boards explaining the background to the persecution and portraits of practitioners who have died as a result of the persecution on both sides of the pavement in front of the Finland Parliament Building, Falun Gong practitioners lit candles and sat silently in the glow of the candlelight.

Since August 6th, when the games began, practitioners from Finland, Sweden, Norway, Latvia, Denmark and Germany have been holding a series of activities to introduce Falun Gong and expose the persecution near the railway station, the entrances to the underground, at the Chinese Embassy, in the park near the field of competition, on the streets, in the city centre park etc. We were there on this day to call on the world's people: please pay attention to the cruel persecution of Falun Gong practitioners (who believe in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance") by Jiang Zemin and the Chinese Communist Party. At present, it has been verified that 2,781 Falun Dafa practitioners have died as a result of the persecution. Please join us to stop the persecution and uphold the justice!

Having enquired about our activities, a lady passing by sat down with practitioners and mourned for the practitioners who were tortured to death.

Two people from Sweden asked why we were here and if practitioners who were tortured to death were all Chinese. Upon learning the reason and that we came from several different countries, they praised us, "What you are doing is very good." They went on to say "It is not right for foreign governments to keep silent during the persecution because of economic interests."
After watching all this and having received a leaflet, an American was deeply moved and said, "I want to know everything about the persecution."
