(Clearwisdom.net) RFA recently reported that last September, a Falun Gong practitioner in her 60s was taken away by police in Beijing when she went shopping for groceries. So far no one knows her whereabouts. Her daughter in San Francisco went to the Chinese Consulate to protest and demand the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to release her mother immediately.
Ms. Xiao Juhua, 62 years old, from Beijing, started practicing Falun Gong in 1993. Her sick body became healthy. Since the persecution began in 1999, Ms. Xiao practiced at home. Her daughter, Chunrong Zhou, went to the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco to protest and narrated her mother's suffering.
Ms. Zhou said, "Since CCP initiated unlawful persecution in 1999, local police often harassed my mother. On September 14, 2005, while she was grocery shopping, plainclothes police took her away and searched the house for Falun Gong books. Police detained her for this reason."
Ms. Zhou said that after police kidnapped her mother, they did not allow her father to visit. He died from heart disease in sorrow.
Ms. Zhou said, "Police kidnapped my mother and exerted pressure on my father many times. They intimidated him, demanding that he not tell anyone, including me. Under such pressure, my father faded away."
Ms. Zhou teaches Chinese in a local school. In the company of other practitioners, she went to the Chinese Consulate to protest her parents' fate. Her five-year-old daughter was there too.
Ms. Zhou said, "My daughter lived with my parents for two and half years. She just returned to the US. She misses her grandmother very much, but cannot talk to her over phone. She cries in the night. She is only five and half years old, yet she suffers such sorrow.'
Ms. Zhou said that the CCP persecution of Falun Gong caused her family's sorrow. She spoke out to protest.
Ms. Zhou said, "All of the sorrow is because evil persecution of kind people. I call on kind-hearted people to help. I call for the immediate release of my mother and all Falun Gong practitioners unlawfully imprisoned."
