Germany: Participating in a Studio Discussion and Exposing the Truth of the Persecution on TV

Oct. 13, 2006 |   By a German practitioner

In the middle of September, "BR-Untervegs" from the TV Station of Bavaria in Germany came to Cham city, face to face, listening to evaluation, suggestions and comments about the TV Station from their audience. The programme was presided over by Mr. Gruber, General Manager of the Radio station in Bavaria. He was accompanied by directors of all programmes. Those invited to participate in a TV discussion were sixty people from Cham city and civilians nearby including Chief Executive, councilors of the county. Representatives of the Falun Gong Human Rights Work Group from Cham city were also invited to express their thinking to the media people face to face.

When speaking, Ms. Teng, a representative of Falun Gong Human Rights Work Group first introduced what Falun Gong was to Mr. Gruber, and then talked about how Falun Gong practitioners in China have been persecuted and tortured for seven years. Especially when the crime of the Chinese Communist Party having removed organs from live Falun Gong practitioners for sale has been disclosed and validated, Ms. Teng hoped that the media would pay much attention to the persecution of Falun Gong and go deep into reporting it. In the meantime, Ms. Teng introduced the REPORT INTO ALLEGATIONS OF ORGAN HARVESTING OF FALUN GONG PRACTITIONERS IN CHINA by two Canadian experts.

The purpose of the directors having a dialogue with Falun Gong practitioners was to encourage civilians to be confident in stopping the persecution. While mentioning the story of successfully rescuing Xong Wei a Falun Gong practitioner to return to Germany, Ms. Teng thanked civilians from Cham for their assistance in signing the petition. But Jiang Renzheng together with his family was deported to China from Bavaria, about which, Ms.Teng was so worried that she asked for the media to report the whole story in detail.

The director of Department of Planning and Development from Radio Bavaria told Ms. Teng: "I know very well the sufferings of Falun Gong. In the programme about the issue of human rights in China, we have been talking about the persecution of Falun Gong. For the TV Station in Bavaria, if there are reports about protesting against the persecution of Falun Gong in here, we are willing to think of reporting them." Ms. Teng showed her thanks for the director's understanding and stressed that the media should report Falun Gong correctly. The CCP labels Faun Gong a "cult", which makes its persecution become rational. Media in the west should be careful in using the word "cult". The director seriously listened to what Ms. Teng told him.

At the end of the programme, Deputy General Manager or a counselor immediately asked Ms. Teng for the REPORT INTO ALLEGATIONS OF ORGAN HARVESTING OF FALUN GONG PRACTITIONERS IN CHINA. He said: "I have read a brief report about it and I want to know more about the report. I feel very sorry about the condition of human rights in China. I couldn't help but feel sorry when I read a report: A man from the Three Gorges who wanted to defend his own human rights accepted an interview from a German reporter, afterwards, the man was beaten so badly that he was disabled." Ms. Teng told him: The only way of ending the tragedy is to disintegrate the CCP. At the same time, she recommended that Deputy General Manager should read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.

On primetime TV on Wednesday evening last week, the programme of "BR-Untervegs" broadcasted Ms.Teng's conversation with the director of Department of Planning and Development about how Falun Gong practitioners are being persecuted and tortured and their organs are being harvested for sale in China. The next day, those civilians in Cham city talked about it with one another. Among them, an old couple spoke highly of what Ms. Teng did. In addition, local newspapers also reported it and gave comments on the programme.
