On October 21st and 22nd, 2006, Italian Falun Gong practitioners were invited to participate in the "Autumn Festival" at Cavriglia. During this traditional festival, many booths are set up to sell chestnuts, grapes and other local specialties. In the meantime, people can enjoy a concert and take a hydrogen balloon ride. With these colorful activities, many local people and those from adjacent areas are attracted to the event.

With help from the Deputy Mayor and other city government officials, Falun Dafa practitioners set up their booth at the best location in the downtown square. The city also provided the practitioners with a huge sunshade umbrella and two tables on which truth-clarification materials and banners were displayed. Several practitioners did the exercises quietly, while others explained the facts about the Chinese Communist regime’s persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and the great wave of withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations since the publication of the book, Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.

On Sunday, even more people came out to enjoy the event. They were shocked by the recently exposed organ harvesting atrocities and the brutal persecution of Falun Gong. Many local residents asked for more information about the persecution and wanted to learn the Falun Gong exercises. To the surprise of many parents, some youngsters sat on the ground to learn the meditation on the spot. They also asked for information of local practice sites so as to practice the exercises with other practitioners.

The peaceful Falun Gong exercises, the elegant Falun Dafa music and the great principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" touched the hearts of many people in Cavriglia.
