(Clearwisdom.net) I am a Falun Dafa practitioner in Zhuolu County, Hebei Province. My son and I started practicing Falun Gong in 1998 and all of my immediate family members are practitioners.

Since 1999, only my child and I remained at home while the rest of my family went out to work. Whenever I had truth-clarifying materials, my son and I would go out to distribute them. Of course, we would go out only when he was off from school or on vacation. One day while he was playing in the street, I asked him to go with me. He said that it was too early. I was not satisfied with his response and thought that he only wanted to play. However, after noticing the change in my mood, he followed me. As it turned out, we passed by so many people that it was hard to hand out materials to each one. I realized that my son is also my fellow practitioner and that I should rationally listen to his comments.

During the summer of 2006, fellow practitioners in the surrounding villages wanted to distribute the "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" and other materials in the mountainous area. My son and my neighbor's child went with us. Climbing the hills, the two kids had been walking ahead and did not need my help. When we arrived at the destination, the eleven of us divided into several groups. My neighbor, another practitioner, the two children, and I were in the same group. The two children had been handing out materials ahead of me. Concerned about their getting lost in a strange area, I followed them closely and handed out materials quickly. At that time, it felt like the five of us could easily cover a mountain and we finished very quickly.

On our way back, the two kids walked steadily ahead. I noticed that another female practitioner often came close to falling. I asked her, "Why do you think you are always nearly falling?" She replied that she did not know why. I asked the children if they were tired. They said, "A little bit." So, we sat there to send righteous thoughts at midnight. We kept going after sending righteous thoughts and arrived at home at 1:30 a.m.. The two kids did not complain and were very happy after being out for twelve hours: from 1:00 p.m. the previous day until 1: 30 a.m. I asked him if he wanted to go the next time. He replied affirmatively.

The following day, I invited the fellow practitioner that I just mentioned to my home. She said, "I realized the reason why I fell. When your son wanted to come with us to hand out materials, I doubted if he could make it and was very reluctant to bring him along. It turned out that the kids accomplished more and did so faster than us."

What she realized is that we should not treat him as a child since he also has the responsibility of saving sentient beings. After that I went to many villages far away. When we headed back from a village after distributing materials, a guard ran into us and was grumbling to himself, "What are these people doing, with so many kids." He felt puzzled because it was after 3:00 a.m.. He informed his co-worker about the situation by mobile phone and asked him to hurry to where we'd gathered. I asked other practitioners to send righteous thoughts to prevent his coming. I kept sending righteous thoughts while walking ahead. No one came after us. I walked toward the last village and asked my son if he was afraid. He said that he was. We got home at 5:00 a.m. My son and I rested for two hours after sending righteous thoughts at 6:00 a.m.. Then we had breakfast and he did not feel sleepy for the whole day. My son also has the responsibility and power of saving sentient beings. As long as I guide him correctly, he will cultivate Dafa better.
