1. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ma Chunli's Life is in Peril
The Dehui City Court sentenced Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Ma Chunli to six years of imprisonment. Though hospitals and prisons would not accept Ma due to her critical condition, the court still issued a "Notice of Prohibiting Medical Parole." Thus, every administration office shirks their responsibilities and defers to others by using the notice as an excuse. Ma's medical bail has still not been approved. Ma was tortured to the point of becoming extremely emaciated. She depends on life-sustaining intravenous feeding.
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Sun Liwen and Tian Yunhai Secretly Sentenced - Belated News -
In July 2005, Falun Gong practitioners Sun Liwen and Tian Yunhai were arrested in Dalian City and secretly sentenced in that city's Ganjingzi Court; even their relatives were not informed. The verdict was announced recently. Tian's father went from his hometown in Jilin City to Dalian City to visit his son three times; however, all his requests for visitation rights were rejected.
Practitioner Ms. Zang Yumei was sentenced on the same day, but detailed information about her is unavailable.

3. [Shandong Province] He Xiuling Tortured to Death; Husband Needs Legal Support - Belated News -
Almost two years ago, personnel from the Yantan City "610 Office " and police and from the Zifu Detention Center in Shandong Province tortured practitioner Ms. He Xiuling to death. Her husband, Mr. Xu Chengben, has appealed, beginning at the local procuratorate, all the way to the Highest Procuratorate, to expose those people and organizations who committed the crime. However, the injustice has not yet been exonerated.
There was an agreement for relatives to view her body at any time during cryogenic storage that the police department and detention center officials must not prohibit such a visit. However, when Xu Chengben and other relatives went to see her body on February 9, 2006, the police and "610 Office" personnel went against the agreement and denied their right to view the body.
Xu Chengben is going to take legal action because abusers from the "610 Office" and the detention center not only tortured his wife to death, but also violated the agreement and prevented him from viewing his wife's body. 4. [Guizhou Province] Several Practitioners Sentenced in November 2005
Around October 2004, personnel from the Anshun City National Security Bureau arrested practitioners Ms. Luo Yunzhi, Chen Hualiang and Ms. Li Ruping from Guiyang City, and Yao Junjing, Liu Shukang, Ms. Zhang Yan, Tang Ling and Ms. Qi Jiaqin from Pingba County Liyang Factory in Anshun City. These practitioners were sentenced at Xixiu District Court in Anshun City in November 2005. Of them, practitioner Li Ruping was sentenced to six years of imprisonment; Luo Yunzhi, 5 years; Yao Junjing, nine years; Zhang Yan gave in to the police and thus received a shorter sentence of three years with four years of probation.
5. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Zhang Xiuqing Arrested and Home Ransacked
At 9:00 a.m. on February 20, 2006, three policemen from the Xiangyang Patrol Team including Jin Chengyuan went to practitioner Zhang Xiuqing's home in the Zhubantun area and ransacked the place. They confiscated some Falun Dafa books and forcibly arrested Zhang Xiuqing and later sent him/her to Jiamusi City Detention Center.
6. [Foshan City, Guangdong Province] Practitioner Wang Zishan Sentenced to a Brainwashing Class after Three Years of Forced Labor
In 2003, personnel from the Guangdong Province Police Department arrested practitioner Wang Zishan from Guangdong Province and sentenced him to three years of forced labor at the Sanshui City Forced Labor Camp. Wang Zishan was forced to do manual labor and study brainwashing materials. He was supposed to be released when his term had expired on February 18, 2006. However, personnel from the labor camp collaborated with agents from the Shunde City's "610 Office." They transferred Wang Zishan to the Provincial Legal School on February 17 for further brainwashing.

7. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Police Arrest Practitioners Zou Xiaoying, Liu Xianghua and Liu Yajuan
On February 11, 2006, personnel from the Mudanjiang City National Security Bureau and from the Ning'an City National Security Bureau arrested practitioner Ms. Zou Xiaoying from Mudanjiang City and Ms. Liu Yajuan from Ning'an City. Ms. Liu Xianghua from Mudanjiang City was arrested at the same time. Police surrounded Liu Yajuan's home with their vehicles. They climbed over the wall and confiscated her computer, printer, truth-clarifying materials, some other personal property and a bankbook containing a deposit worth 40,000 yuan. At present, police are taking turns to torture and interrogate practitioners.
8. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Hao Fukui Secretly Sentenced to Three Years of Imprisonment
By the end of January 2006, 70-year-old practitioner Mr. Hao Fukui's finally found out that personnel from Dalian City Development Zone Court had secretly sentenced Hao Fukui to three years of imprisonment. They asked court officials why the family was not informed. The officials replied that they didn't have to.
Hao Fukui lived with his daughter in the Dalian City Development Zone. He holds a temporary residency card. The morning of May 20, 2005, personnel from the Dalian City Development Zone Police Department collaborated with personnel from Huaihai Road Police Station. These people forcibly opened the door and arrested Hao Fukui. To date, they haven't permitted Hao Fukui's family members to visit him.

9. [Suining County, Jiangsu Province] Personnel from Suining County's 610 Office and from the Police Department Arrest Five Practitioners
On January 27, 2006, personnel from the "610 Office" and from the police department arrested practitioners Ms. Wang Meidi, Ms. Shen Guiying, Ms. Zhou Xianfeng, Ms. Ma Jie and Ms. Tong Xiaohong at their homes. They are currently still being detained.
10. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Police Arrest and Beat Practitioner Chen Jun
On February 13, 2006, personnel from the Ganjinzi District National Security Team arrested practitioner Mr. Chen Jun, in his 40s, from his workplace. They also ransacked his home. Chen is currently being held at the Jinjia District Street Detention Center. Deputy head Dong Shiguo from the National Security Team beat Chen Jun savagely.
11. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Police Make an Arrest Sweep on Practitioners
A few days ago, some practitioners from Langfang City were arrested for going to Xianghe and trying to rescue arrested practitioners. Later, several practitioners including Cao Baoyu, Zhou Xiuzhen and Zhang Ruihua walked out from capture with the power of righteous thoughts. But at around 7:00 a.m. on February 19, personnel from the local police department colluded with those from local police stations and broke into the homes of the three practitioners and arrested them again.
On February 5, 2006, practitioner Mr. Cao Ruitang who lives at the Xing'an Outlet Market in Langfang City went to Xianghe to rescue practitioner Wang Shaoqiu. Afterwards, personnel from the Guangyang District Police Department arrested him and sent him into the Langfang City Detention Center. Cao Ruitang went on a protest hunger strike and was released because of his rapidly declining health. Only a few days later, persecutors from the Anci District Police Department and the Beishiwu Police Station broke into his home and attempted to arrest him again. Fortunately Cao escaped, but has to live in exile now.
Between February 19 and 21, 2006, personnel from the Guangyang District Police Department and from the Xinkailu Police Station surrounded the homes of practitioners Liu Yajie and Wan Yaqin. They live in the No.3 District of the City Pipeline Administration Bureau. Police vehicles were parked at the entrance to the building, and police attempted to arrest the two practitioners.
During the morning on February 19, 2006, officers from the Guangyang District Police Department and from the Xinkailu Police Station arrested practitioner Shi Zhimin from Shi's home in the Langfang City's Hanyi Textile Factory.
At around 1:00 p.m. police arrested practitioner Ms. Li Qiuhong from her home in Nandian Village, Nanjianta Township. They took her mother, her mentally disabled sister and her younger daughter, about 7 or 8 years old away in a police vehicle.
Police arrested practitioner Shi Zhimin, in his/her 70s, though Shi had just been released a few days earlier and was still sick in bed. Police wrapped Shi in a blanket while Shi only had on underwear, put the practitioner into an official vehicle and transported him/her to a brainwashing class.
That day, seven practitioners were put into the Langfang City Brainwashing Class. They're all on a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention.

Practitioner Chen Jian from Guangzhou City was scheduled to be tried and sentenced at 8:45 a.m. on February 28, 2006 at Room 201 in the Yuexiu District Court.
13. [Jiangsu Province] New Weekly Review of the Jiangsu Province Legislation Newspaper Recently Published an Article to Frame and Slander American Practitioner Charles Lee
On February 17, 2006, New Weekly Review of the Jiangsu Province Legislation Newspaper (run by the Xinhua Daily News Group) published a special report on page two to slander Falun Gong with fabricated information --"View the[slanderous words omitted] through American Chinese Charles Lee," authored by Jiangfa.
14. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Elementary School Teacher Li Ru Arrested for Clarifying the Truth about Falun Gong to Other Teachers
On February 16, 2006, practitioner Li Ru, a teacher at the Yonghelu Elementary School in the Lichang District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province was arrested for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to other teachers in the school. At present, Li is being held at Dashan Detention Center.
15. [Beijing] Four Practitioners from Capital Normal University Arrested
During the evening of February 19, 2006, four practitioners including Li Hua, Huang Shengjie and Yang Le were arrested at their homes. They are being detained at Haidian District Police Department at present.
16. [Beijing] Practitioner Jin Xuefang Currently Held in the Dongcheng District Detention Center
On October 29, 2005, guards and policemen from the Tiananmen Area arrested practitioner Ms. Jin Xuefang for clarifying the truth and distributing truth-clarifying materials to passersby at Tiananmen Square. They first held her at the Tongzhou District Detention Center in Beijing; then, around December 10, 2005, they transferred her to the Pre-trial Section of Beijing's No.2 holding facility. Since her arrest, the police have denied all family visits.
It was learned that she has since been transferred to the Dongcheng District Detention Center.

17. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
A male practitioner surnamed Sha from the Nanqi District in Hefei City was recently arrested. He is being held at the Anhui University Brainwashing Class. Policemen are staying in and around his home in the Daban Building, Nanqi District, to arrest other practitioners. They have arrested four practitioners so far.
18. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Practitioners Ni Chunlan and Zhang Xiaopin Arrested for Clarifying the Truth
On the night of February 5, 2006, practitioner Mr. Ni Chunlan, in his 50s, a policeman from the Shuangshibei Forced Labor Camp in Nanyang City and Ms. Zhang Xiaopin, 33 years old, a laid-off employee of the City Textile Factory, were reported to police when they clarified the truth to people in the textile factory. Later, police officer Duan Xiancheng and Du Siwei from the Wancheng District in Nanyang City ransacked their homes and arrested them. At present, they are being held at the city's No.1 Detention Center, the Shangzhuang Detention Center.
19. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Wang from the Hanting District Arrested and Home Ransacked
On February 19, 2006, two plainclothes police officers took practitioner Ms. Wang from the Hanting District in Weifang City to the Hanting District Police Department for clarifying the truth. Police department head surnamed Yu spoke with her and asked her where she was from. She told them her address, and then police ransacked her home. They confiscated Dafa books and truth-clarifying materials, but they didn't take her away from home. They told her she has to pay them a 3,000 to 5,000-yuan "fine," otherwise they would arrest her.
20. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Lawless Policemen Illegally Search Practitioner Li Changchun's House and Arrest Him
Practitioner Mr. Li Changchun, about 30 years old, is from Pingdingbu Township, Tieling City, Liaoning Province. On February 18, 2006, the Pingdingbao Police Station head led some lawless policemen and arrested Mr. Li and searched his house. Currently, he is locked up in the county's detention center.
21. [Fujian Province] Wei Jianyu Arrested
During the afternoon of February 20, 2006, policemen arrested practitioner Wei Jianyu at practitioner Shao Wu's home and searched Wei Jianyu's house. Wei Jianyu's whereabouts are unknown.
22. [Beijing] Practitioner Couple Yang Le and Huang Disappear
It was reported that at about 6:00 or 7:00 p.m. on February 19, 2006, the Yang Le and Huang couple disappeared successively when they were at the Zizhuyuan Area in the Haidian District. Police from the National Security Team may have arrested them.
23. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Wei Xing Detained at Zhou Village's 610 Office
Practitioner Wei Xing (Benzhi) is from Zhou Village, Zibo City, Shandong Province. On January 23, 2006, personnel from the National Security Team arrested Wei Xing and put him/her into the Dazhuang Detention Center on January 25. Recently Wei Xing was transferred to Zhou Village's "610 Office."
24. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Xu Yongfan Arrested
According to an insider, before the end of January 2006, personnel from the Qinhuangdao City "610 Office" and from the city's Police Department and National Security Team arrested practitioner Mr. Xu Yongfan. They put him in detention.
Xu Yongfan is an employee of the City Bohai Aluminum Company who has been arrested several times for practicing Falun Gong. On January 12, 2006, policemen arrested him again and searched his house.
During the detention period, lawless policemen brutally tortured him and tried to force him to give up his belief in Falun Dafa. Other practitioners and sympathizers are forbidden to speak with Xu Yongfan. The police are attempting to break him mentally.
