European Media Report Request for Investigation into the CCP's Organ Harvesting at Sujiatun

April 7, 2006

(Clearwisdom.net) On April 3, Tribune de Geneve (Switzerland) reported on Falun Gong practitioners' rally in front of the UN Human Rights Commission building, charges that organs are being harvested from living Falun Gong practitioners at the Sujiatun Concentration Camp, and practitioners' request for an investigation into the case.

On the same day, Le Figaro (France) reported that last Friday the U.S. Government urged the Chinese Communist regime to investigate Falun Gong's claim: Several thousands Falun Gong practitioners in northeast China have been treated as living resources for the human organ trade since 1999.

The report said that 990f organs for transplant come from death-row prisoners. Chen Zhonghua, a former surgeon of Tongji Hospital in Wuhan revealed this statistic when he was interviewed by the Hong Kong based South China Morning Post. He said that people pay no attention to the moral issue raised by the massive transplant operation. He added that he knew only some twenty transplant cases where they obtained approval from the prisoners' family members. According to data from the Chinese medical system, China has transplanted 3741 livers, 8103 kidneys and 80 hearts.
