(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Yang Lihua was a retired teacher of the Dalianhe Town Middle School at Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province. She once had serious rheumatic heart disease. After she started practicing Falun Dafa in September 1996, she recovered fully. Since the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Dafa started on July 20, 1999, she has been severely tortured, both physically and mentally. In February 2000, she was arrested and detained for three days and was fined 300 yuan by the township and her school for continuing to practice Falun Dafa outdoors. Later, her school's management withheld 200 yuan of her salary for practicing Falun Dafa. In 2002, she was arrested by the Daoli District Police because she distributed truth-clarifying materials in Harbin City. The police tried to send her to a detention center, but she escaped with righteous thoughts. She was forced to leave her home for more than a year. In this period the police issued an arrest warrant for her, and her income was cut off. Her life was extremely difficult. In the summer of 2003, she returned to her hometown. The county 610 Office, the county Education Committee and her school forced her to write a Repentance Statement, a "Statement of Breaking away from Falun Gong," and a "Promise to Stop Practicing Falun Gong". They also withheld more than 8,000 yuan of her 10,000-yuan salary and claimed that the amount represents the expenses paid by the school for her care. Afterwards, the police continuously went to her home and harassed her. She was badly harmed both mentally and physically, and she passed away on December 20, 2005.

Ms. Tian Shunlan, over 50 years old, was a Falun Dafa practitioner from Luoyang City, Henan Province. Since July 20, 1999 CCP officials have continuously harassed her because she persisted in practicing Falun Dafa. She was illegally detained three times and persecuted by the local police and the 610 Office. She was tormented both physically and mentally, and she was unable to practice Falun Gong. She fell ill and passed away on July 23, 2003.

Ms. Chen Guilan, 47 years old, was a Falun Dafa practitioner from Shanliaoxu, Poxin Town, Maogang District, Maoming City, Guangdong Province. Before she started practicing Falun Gong, she had heart and gallbladder problems. It was difficult for her to even walk. Since she started practicing Falun Gong in June 2000, all of her diseases disappeared. On December 7, 2000 she went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Dafa and was arrested by some policemen from Maoming City. She was detained at the Dianbaizhaitou Detention Center in Maoming City and persecuted for five months. After her release, the authorities continued to harass and threaten her. Especially since November 23, 2004, Wang Ri, the head of the 610 Office at Poxin Town of Maogang District, Wen Yonghui, the chief of the local police station and Wang Mu, the public security officer, frequently ransacked her home and threatened her. Under the persecution of the wicked party, she was afraid to study the Falun Gong books or practice the Falun Gong exercises anymore, and her health deteriorated rapidly. She passed away on March 13, 2006.
