A Little Room in the Homeless Transfer Station in the Shahe District, Guangzhou City

May 13, 2006

(Clearwisdom.net) Finding out about the tragedy of Falun Gong practitioners' organs being harvested in secret concentration camps by the evil Communist Party, I recalled an episode that I personally experienced. I hope that reporting this can help find missing practitioners.

My name is Fuyun. I'm originally from Hunan Province. I was in my aunt's house looking for a job in October 2000. My aunt was a practitioner. One day a dozen policemen suddenly appeared in her house and ransacked it. They suspected that I had helped my aunt mail Falun Gong materials, so they arrested and jailed me claiming that I did not have an identification card or a temporary lodging card.

After keeping me in jail me for a month and still not finding any evidence, they took me and the other similarly accused inmates to the Homeless Transfer Station in the Shahe District in Guangzhou.

In the jail, I accidentally discovered a very small room at the far end of the second story of the transfer station building. Its iron door was tightly locked and had a little square hole in the middle. The room was barely big enough for a small bed. The toilet was right next to it. Inside the room were six or seven people ranging from a nine-year-old boy to a woman in her late 50s. It was late November. I had a light sweater on, but they were all dressed in summer short sleeves.

From our conversations, I learned that they were all Falun Gong practitioners who had been sent to Guangzhou in May because they had refused to reveal their names and addresses. The older lady was from Qingdao City. They were handled by the 610 Office and the police, and not by the Homeless Transfer Station. They would not reveal their names and addresses despite all the sufferings they had endured, because they did not want to involve their families, companies, or neighborhood associations.

There were even more people in the little room originally, about 20. To force them to reveal their names and addresses, they had been prevented from taking showers, washing their faces or hair, brushing their teeth, or using water for three months. They had accumulated a thick scum under their hair. They were not allowed to take a single step out of the room. Every meal was delivered through the little hole.

I wanted to cry every time I saw them. Later on they were sent somewhere else, and no one knows where they are now.

I hope they are safe.
