(Clearwisdom.net) In late May 2006, European Parliament Vice President Mr. Edward McMillan-Scott conducted an investigation in Beijing. He met with many European diplomats, representatives of NGOs in China, and two Falun Gong practitioners. Falun Gong practitioner Cao Dong disappeared after that meeting. It has been reported that Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents have arrested him. The regime is closely monitoring another Falun Gong practitioner, Niu Jinping, right now. Mr. McMillan-Scott had no choice but to call an emergency meeting with the CCP ambassador to the European Parliament.

Incredulously, American businessman Steven Gigliotti was abducted mafia-style soon after McMillan-Scott's meeting with the Falun Gong practitioners ended, because he helped arrange the meeting. He was detained and interrogated for 24 hours and then deported. After Steven Gigliotti sent a message "I'm arrested" to a friend in the U.S.A. on his cell phone, a related CCP agency told the U.S. ambassador in Beijing that the CCP regime was not aware of the abduction, that they knew nothing of this incident or such a person as Steven Gigliotti.

Why did the CCP dare to face world condemnation for arresting a Falun Gong practitioner simply because of a brief meeting, and then abducting and deporting a U.S. citizen? What is the CCP afraid of?

It has been reported that Mr. McMillan-Scott listened to Falun Gong practitioners' testimonies.

The CCP had once detained both Falun Gong practitioners. 36-year-old Cao Gong was detained for four years, while his wife Yang Xiaojing is still incarcerated. He and other Falun Gong practitioners were brutally tortured in prison.

Another Falun Gong practitioner who met with Mr. McMillan had been detained for two years and learned during detention that more than thirty Falun Gong practitioners had been beaten to death. His wife, Zhang Lianying, previously worked as a registered accountant and a division head for the China Everbright Group. She is being held at a custody center in Beijing. Her face is deformed from the persecution. She is barely recognizable due to the torture to which she is subjected, and her mind is muddled at times. Her life is in danger.

In the past seven years, the Minghui/Clearwisdom website has verified nearly 3,000 torture deaths of Falun Gong practitioners. The CCP has always boasted to the public of "education" policies toward Falun Gong practitioners that resemble "a gentle spring breeze and a sprinkling of rain" and vehemently denies that the persecution exists. The CCP also denies Falun Gong practitioners' accusations against the CCP's Jiang regime and their accomplices. All of these were achieved through an extreme information blockade and direct slanderous attacks on the victims.

The facts about the persecution of Falun Gong are the CCP's biggest secrets. As vice-president of the European Parliament, Mr. McMillan-Scott listened firsthand to the victims' testimonies. His words as a witness will help reveal the facts regarding the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. When the facts emerge, all lies will instantly disintegrate, no matter how flawlessly they have been contrived or complex they may be on the surface. Perhaps this is the reason why the CCP became flustered after Mr. McMillan-Scott met with Falun Gong practitioners, and thus retaliated by arresting the Falun Gong practitioners, even though the world already has considerable understanding of the persecution. Of course, it's also a natural behavior for the CCP as it faces its end.

During an interview with reporters, Mr. McMillan-Scott said that the CCP is a system of "atrocities, despotism and bigotry." Indeed, for anyone who knows about the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, this conclusion is not hard to deduce. This might help us explain why the CCP is so scared of the Chinese people learning the truth about Falun Gong, and of the international community investigating the truth. The truth about Falun Gong is the gallows rope around the CCP's neck.

During the past seven years, the CCP has spared no resources in blocking and covering up the truth and through the most brutal means has been consistently arresting and persecuting Falun Gong practitioners who clarify the truth to the Chinese society and expose the truth to the world.

In March 2002, after Falun Gong truth clarification videos, including "Falun Dafa Around the World" and "Self-Immolation or Staged Act?" were broadcast on eight cable channels in Changchun City of Jilin Province, Jiang Zemin, who launched the persecution, immediately issued a secret order to "kill with no exceptions" regarding the Falun Gong practitioners who tapped into the cable system. Soon, Jilin Province police illegally arrested more than 5,000 Falun Gong practitioners in Changchun City, and the police issued orders to open fire on Falun Gong practitioners who were seen disseminating the truth about Falun Gong in the streets. During the large-scale arrest, at least six practitioners were beaten to death, and another fifteen practitioners were illegally sentenced to prison terms from between four and twenty years. This included Liu Chengjun, the leader of the project, Lei Ming and Liang Zhenxing. It's difficult to imagine such brutal persecution against an act designed to uphold people's right to information through peaceful means.

Among the nearly 3,000 torture deaths of Falun Gong practitioners verified by the Minghui/Clearwisdom website, many were murdered for clarifying the truth. Such brutality can only be explained by the perpetrators' fear of the exposure of the facts.

After the CCP's crimes of mass harvesting living Falun Gong practitioners' organs came to light, the CCP denied all charges while speeding up its organ transplant program to destroy evidence. The regime also refused to issue visas to members of the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong, an international organization. If harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners really didn't exist, why wouldn't the CCP be open to international investigations to prove its innocence? What is it really afraid of?

Denying and covering up the persecution, refusing investigations and continuously denigrating Falun Gong's truth clarification efforts while launching brutal retaliation has become the typical strategy of the CCP in dealing with Falun Gong. By these methods, the CCP barely clings to life. The CCP probably knows very well that one day the truth will be laid bare before the world, no matter how it denies, covers up, rejects and denigrates. As for now, the CCP counts its remaining days and tries to maintain its lies for as long as it can.

In the past seven years, Falun Gong practitioners' persistent truth clarification poked holes in the CCP's most highly guarded red zone, and the truth about the persecution against Falun Gong is widely known in the world. From a certain perspective, this recent meeting between the European Parliament VP Mr. McMillan-Scott and Falun Gong practitioners shows the just attention and support toward Falun Gong around the world. Not too long ago, some political dignitaries and renowned lawyers in Canada formed an independent investigation group regarding the live organ harvesting and have started to collect evidence.

Truly frightening things for the CCP lie ahead. We hope that those who participate in the persecution can see through the CCP's façade from their reactions and make the right choice for themselves. There is a world of difference between a good thought and an evil thought. Those with evil thoughts should "Throw away your knife" and cooperate with international investigations. It will mark the beginning of self-redemption.
