(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Huang Dagui, approximately 50 years old, is a farmer from Shuikou Village, Tianping Town, Yuechi City. In August of 2001, she was arrested for selling fake receipts at the Chengdu Train Station. In her eight months of imprisonment, she became acquainted with many imprisoned Dafa practitioners. From these practitioners she came to realize the goodness of Dafa for both individual practitioners and society. Dafa practitioners also wrote down several of Master’s articles from memory for her. After reading them, she was very moved and said, "Why did I only hear of this Dafa now? It’s a pity that I did not find it earlier." From then on she began her cultivation.
On March 22, 2002, Huang was released. After returning home, she thought to herself, "I have benefited from Dafa, and Dafa is under persecution and many Dafa practitioners are suffering brutal persecution in prisons. I should do my best to validate Dafa and expose the evil." On April 11, she was illegally arrested and sent to the Chuqiao Police Station for distributing truth-clarification materials. On April 12, she was sent to the Pi County Detention Center and illegally imprisoned for nine months. On January 27, 2003, she was transferred to the Yuechi Detention Center.
The police at the Yuechi Detention Center tried in vain to force her to give up cultivation. On January 28, policemen Du Renyi and Yang Jinghua tied her up tightly onto the torture bed for seventeen days. For those seventeen days, she was fixed to the bed, unable to move at all and was not allowed to get up even to use the restroom.
One day, county officials came to the detention center for an inspection. In order to call attention to the torture she was being subjected to, she shouted loudly, "Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is suffering huge injustices! Stop persecuting Falun Gong!" However, the officials took no notice of her. After the officials left, policeman Yang Jinghua yelled at her, "Let’s see you shout some more!" He instructed several criminals to tighten her handcuffs so tightly that her hands turned purplish-black.
On April 8, 2003, she was forcibly sent to a brainwashing session held at the Huaying Older Armed Forces Division in Guang’an District. By then, she had already been persecuted by the Yuechi Detention Center to the extent that she could not walk without support, and her limbs trembled uncontrollably. The goal of the brainwashing session was to force her to give up cultivation, but Huang Dagui said, "I was standing at the edge of a cliff before I ran into Falun Gong. It was Teacher Li Hongzhi who rescued me. I would never go against my conscience!" The re-education leader replied, "You have only read Zhuan Falun once. We have to ‘transform’ you!" Huang Dagui answered, "I only know that Dafa is good and is able to help a bad person become good. If everyone learns Falun Gong, society will improve. Jiang Zemin has already been charged in numerous lawsuits around the world for persecuting Falun Gong. He will be brought to justice, so you shouldn’t follow his lead any longer." The re-education leader threatened her shamelessly, "If you refuse to be ‘transformed’, we will not release you. If you die here, it’ll just be a worthless death. No one will seek redress for you." Huang answered, "I am a normal civilian. My life is not a big deal, and if I die, it would be due to persecution. There are many witnesses. However, for you, you shall suffer karmic retribution and pay for everything that you have done."
In addition to being cuffed onto the bed for seventeen days, Huang Dagui became very frail due to a hunger strike. Afraid of being held responsible in case she died, a car was fetched from the town officials to send her home.
