Taiwan: Falun Gong Practitioners Collect Signatures in Danshuei Town to Condemn the Chinese Communist Party's Brutality (Photos)

Aug. 13, 2006 |   By a practitioner from Taiwan

(Clearwisdom.net) On August 6, 2006, in order to help more people in Taiwan know about the Chinese Communist Party's harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, 20 practitioners from Taiwan came to Danshuei--a famous cultural town in Northern Taiwan, to expose the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) brutality and call upon people to support the efforts to stop the persecution. Practitioners collected signatures to condemn the persecution.

Citizens are learning the facts of the persecution

Many people learned the facts of the persecution from the truth-clarifying display boards and banners that practitioners showed. Some of them asked for more information.

One woman told practitioners that she knew a Taiwanese businessman who had an organ transplant in Mainland China and died one year later. She said that she is really angry about the CCP's behavior. A young man and a student condemned the CCP's brutality. They left their contact information with practitioners before they left.

On July 6, 2006, the independent investigation group, consisting of former director of the Asian Pacific Division of Canada's Foreign Affairs Ministry and member of Parliament Mr. David Kilgour, and human rights lawyer David Matas, released an independent report following their two-month investigation into allegations that vital organs are being seized from Falun Gong practitioners in China. At the press conference on Canada's Parliament Hill, Mr. Matas called the harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners a new form of evil that "we have yet to see on this planet."

People learned about Falun Gong and the persecution and signed the banner and petition calling for an end to the persecution

Two mothers came to the practitioners' booth with four children. After learning the truth, they hesitated to sign their names. The practitioners said to them: "Signing your name is to save people, and your signatures have great power. To sign the petition will be the most meaningful thing you do today." Under the practitioners' encouragement, they signed their names. The children also wanted to sign. The youngest one seriously wrote down her name on the petition, although the only Chinese characters she could write were her name.

A college student majoring in law learned the details of the organ harvesting. He asked for a copy of the Report into Allegations of Organ Harvesting of Falun Gong Practitioners in China by the Canadian independent investigation group.

Practitioners hope that activities like this can help people to wake up from the CCP's lies. The CCP's organ harvesting is a crime against humanity. Practitioners hope that people of justice from all over the world will stand up to stop this persecution as soon as possible.
